60D and Final Cut problem.

I have been using my 60D perfectly with Final Cut Pro. Then I recently changed some settings (forget which ones) to work with my GL2. I am trying to edit a video right now, but when I slow a clip down, it gets very distorted horizontally. Not sure what to do to fix this.

That's interlacing.

FCP settings are not a "set 'em and forget 'em" deal. You need to change your settings every time you switch formats. Every time. When you start a new project, double-check your settings. And once you've changed your settings, when you go back to a previous project from another format, you'll need to reconfigure your settings again. Furthermore, it's crucial to know which settings you do change at any time... to avoid situations like this.

Create your sequence in FCP, then drop your 60D footage on to the new sequence (as the first clip). FCP should ask you if you want to change the sequence to match the clip - say YES.
