Well... unless something really big happens... i'm in!

Diego Gaudenzi - Thief and grip

Stefano Terenziani - Undecided pedestrian (and another unreconignizable character) - backstage and grip


Shooting will start today, and ends tomorrow... hopefully we shot everything in time. We are really tight 'cause i'm away for a work by the 1st of june; and 'cause there are two local festival that need a subscription by the end of may (the screening however is months away...)
So our personal deadline is 30 may.

Well... the weather was an hell...




Anyway; shooting is ended. I might need a couple of additional shots, but i need a first cut before.

DAY 1

Office interior.

This was easy enough. A quiet scene, all dialogs. We shot inside a car dealer office, and the owners were hice enough allowing us to use an unused cubicle.
It was also the first time for the actors togheter (they met a few minutes before)
But this was the easiest part


DAY 2

Office stairs.

Shooting start at 9.30 am

The car dealer building was only one-floor so it has no stairs. Searching for a stair with a space big enough was'nt easy (with so little time of pre-prod); because we have a scene with paper sheets falling down through the well-hole.
The style of the one we found is'nt really the same style of the office... but for a matter of second... who cares...

Exteriors.

Man... the weather was so unstable... a moment you got a cloudy sky and ten second later your scene is messed up by the sun coming out!
We got rain for an hour, but we spent this time for reviewing what we did and for lunch.
Andrea, the story writer and the Work Boss, got one really nice idea of the central short scene. Is not very long but it was a nice little challenge in terms of timing and framing. People passing in the street was asking what we were doing... I'm curious to see what you think about it when you see it.

I overcome myself three or four times when i was shooting a very Bourne style running scene (handheld and high shutter speed); i was side to side with a football player.... he was suprised by seeing me just a meter behind him (he weight at least 20 kg less than me); the downside is that now my left knee is crying! And too bad the backstage guy din't catch this, because noone was expecting.

Shooting ended at 7.00 am with everyone exaust, especially Paolo that runned through the city for a lot!

My only "gnawings" is that i wanted to shoot a scene with my steadicam circling around the main character; but when i saw the grey overcast sky i leaved the rig at home. Later, a delay and revision of the script forced us to change the location of the central scene (wich i planned to end with the circling steadicam shot). But in the end i think is good enough as it is.
 
Editing is almost done. I made a few musics with Sony Acid XP; nothing really exceptional but better than nothing.

The problem now is that we lost a couple of scenes, so today i will reshot them.
 
Yesterday we got our internal screening; everyone is pleased and surprised of how it has come out. Looking back at my previous works i must say that this is really the best thing i have done.
