Thanx for the comment guys. I will be away from home until sunday for shooting a short; i'm working on the subtitles.

I find this to be true for me, actually every project I do I think is the best- because there is always something I have never done before that works out and I'm proud of it. I think as a film maker- or artist of any kind each work you do should be better then the last one... (of corse we all get some bombs).

I am very happy to see that there is somebody from Italy, where I lived for five years, in TimeFest. I like the atmosphere of your grap in the city of Parma and also I am very amused about the foto of "Berlusca"!!!

I'm glad you recognized it, Susanne! The Berlusconi picture was a kind of joke... i hope he did'nt see this short, as it might take inspiration for a new law (seeing how things are going in italy!)
 
Hi Mik,

I understand perfectly your ironic joke about Berlusconi. But no matter - I don't think that it will be an inspiration for a new law. He loves himself so much, that he likes to see himself everywhere and takes it like an other public relation.
Furtunatly there are still italian like you in italy.

Cool, appears to get to be your first review.

I liked the look of this short a lot and the cinematography of him biking/running through the city was very cool to watch. That said, it did start to drag as him running was the bulk of the short and I didn't really have a good reason to care if he made it back in time. My understanding was, he needed to run an errand in 5 minutes. Why was it important? Or why was the job so important that it was worth losing his bike over?

If you would've spent a little more time in the setup I think I would've been much more involved in hoping that he made it back on time.

I do like the end though of him getting back just in time to get sent on another errand.

Nice work overall and I'd like to see your work in the future.
 
I liked the short. I really liked the shaky camera scenes of him running; it felt like an action film and it increased the agitation. I agree with Gohanto that more setup into why this character really needed this job would have helped.

Since I am a sound guy, I think some more sound cues could have helped to sell that this character is really pushing himself. Things like a lot of heavy breathing, especially during the closeups, would have given us a closer connection to the character. Also I would have liked to hear more of the city background sounds mixed in with the music. The music was cool. It sort of reminded me of the first "Bourne Identity" film, though that could have been the "chase" through European streets.

Good short. Overall the pace was good but began to drag in the running scene. Love the look & color. Nice shot down the stairwell. Liked the music too.

Very nice job!
 
LOL. You had grammar/spelling edits in your subtitles but you know what I think it helped the film. I found myself laughing a few times. Excellent camera techniques. Felt very real.

Are people in Italy that rude? :)

Actually Andrea (the work-boss) wrote the first draft of the script and it was even more rude... i tuned down a bit 'cause it was unnecessary.
Note that also there are a few sentences that might sound rude in english but in italian are more "friendly", like the end of the guy in the car.

@Brad: you're right, i need to spend more time on the sound. Actually i ADR a bit -especially the running scenes since there was my footsteps and my breathing- we got some ot problems with the external mic and i captured everything (office dialog included) with the camera mic, it turned out not bad at all.
My brother said the same thing about being Bourne-like; and i admit it was a test for me to see if i can do something similar.

Also thought it started to drag on a bit because of the long running scene and that's too bad cause that scene is one of the selling points. Shots of those beautiful italian atmosphere always work :D
