4k bmpcc

However, there are people who prefer cheap over reliability. People don't realise that cheap (and unreliable) in the long run is way more costly.

I agree with most of your points, however your above statement is ridiculous - it's much too simplistic, and you even seem to be trying to insult people. It's only this year that Canon has released a camera that matches the BMCC imagewise. That's the reason I changed brands after selling my C100. And it's frankly embarrassing that it's taken Canon until this year to catch up, and that's at 3 times the price (of what I paid 4 years ago).

So, it looks like a m43 mount (that's the panasonic 14-140, right?) and it does internal 4k 60fps RAW, but again with a tiny 2.7x-to-3.0x crop sensor. This will not be my next main camera, though I may use it for specific projects if DR is as good as it was in the original pocket.

edit: not sure it does 4k 60fps raw, it seems this may be only external, with internal topping at a lower frame rate

edit2: the information floating around when I wrote this was wrong, forget everything I said above

How is this insulting?
And I agree with him. Imagine you lose a possible new client because of a faulty camera. It could cost you ten’s of thousands in the long run, if not more.

I haven't had any reliability issues with the BMPCC either, I guess some people found some issues that I didn't stumble upon

From the photo, I hope bigger camera means bigger sensor. 4k in a s16 sensor in asmall s16 sensor would be very noisy. It would be super cool if it had a 5 inch screen at the back, at least in the photo it looks quite big, but we can't judge because the photos are not conclusive on the actual size of the camera.

It has a Panasonic lens on the MFT mount so it's most definitely not a S35 or FF sensor unless they are borrowing JVC's 'Variable Scan Mapping', which they most likely aren't.
