Have always wanted the film look. Finally now i have my dreams fulfilled. Attached are pictures of my very own cinematic rig. Looking forward to use them in my upcoming projects fCan't wait to add the Cinevate HD Monitor to this already wonderful setup.

Just blown away by the image quality produce by the Brevis Mp2. in HD mode. It's just amazing to see the depth of field being projected on my screen. If only I have the P2s with me to start shooting HD. Just glad that images looks great too in DV.

Here is my very first test footage. Vimeo URL: http://www.vimeo.com/4779986

New Rig.... With Grip.

New Rig.... With Grip.

Here are a few shots of the new cage/spacers and a samsung, slightly smaller than the vixia family mini hd cam. It also has my prototybe multi tactical grip setup mounted. The grips (only 1 grip mounted in photo) fold down and lock, then the multi ball swivel rotates the grips into any position you can think of. even side shifted, 90 degrees, upside down... Thanks for looking.

Real quick question: is the Cinevate follow focus designed specifically for use with the Brevis 35mm adapter? I'm looking into a buying a follow focus for my SGblade which is currently in the mail, and I kind of want to avoid indiFocus even though its priced well. I haven't read the best reviews of the product and am thus seeking alternatives.

I would not recommend indiFocus if I have the money.

Yeah that's my notion so far with the reviews and testimonials I've read. I'm looking into Redrock's microFollowFocus v2.0 and it looks pretty solid, and the reviews are pretty good. The only thing is that it's $545 and I still have to buy an HD field monitor and that'll run me quite a bit as well.

Digging it all the way mate!

Lots of room to mount wireless and batteries at the back rods, if you wanted to add a Z balance (100$) under the REDROCK flip mod, your camera may balance better avoiding the "see saw " effect and/or any potential shaking from your hands at the back area. It works excellent with my rig for front heavy adapter set ups. Notice where the Z balance is mounted, under the 35 adapter where the weight is central. They work so well and are not that pricey!

The shots look great
Cheers Philip

I've been using this, of my own design, while I wait for my Blade and Zacuto gear to arrive.

Full build info on my blog.

F'k yea man... don't waste your time with those stupid adapter companies... dang noobs... crooked lettuce adapters FTW! :nads:
Is that an ironing board support you are using? Must have been 'spensive.

Gotta love thrown together DIY stuff... thanks for posting. Muahahah...

is there a hole in the lettuce head or is it just for the picture.. cause I would pay to see the image you got if it actually worked at all.

I did cut a hole through the lettuce but I did not try to shoot through it. I didn't want to get any organic material on the optics for fear it might get a fungus going, so the camera's lens and the nikon are wrapped in saran wrap.
