matt, that's the sickest rig i've ever seen. your counterweight looks like a mini fridge. i love it. and props for making the handles redrock blue ;)

Neil what kind of monitor is that? Curious about the converter on the back. How did you setup your brevis rails? The 5/8" base rod looks missing...

Mah throw it across the room rig (without tripod thats been thrown after...?)

omg its the spider from... "The Thing" movie....

Maybe people can put a bit more "rig" info with the pics so we know what we are looking at? Curious to know what this rig above me is. (not just because of the pink HVX lettering...)

Sorry about that. It is a Cinetech Hipcam I rented from Matt at McGee Digital. That is a shock laying under the shoulder brace and the belt in front. He owns a HVX, but it worked fine after moving a screw on the baseplate. I like the wide grip and the build quality, but it is about $3k new. Ouch...

the monitor is the nebtek neb70hd w/ the panasonic battery adapter.

the 5'8" rod is cut to about 2" long with the plate directly on the rails block for a lower center of gravity, and just allows me to sit the camera down. the towering 35mm flips scare me. :undecided
