PaPa your rig really helped out A LOT. I don't know if you have more detailed specs later in the thread but I don't have the patience to go through all some 57 pages. I have some questions:

-In all how much did your rig cost?
-How long (and what company) are your rods?
-What follow focus are you using?
-What Mattebox are you using?

Right now my "Dream" rig is the following:

-Petroff SS-04 Support Rods (with:Petroff SS-06 Support Rods)
-XH A1(have it)
-Nikkor 28, 50, 85mm Lenses
-Petroff P44W Wide Angle Matte Box System
-(A follow focus that I haven't found yet)
(I'm always changing it. Does anyone know systems? Can anyone recommend me some medium priced high quality gear? I plan on spending on the $1500-$2300 range. I have the XH A1 still.

Is the M2 without flip?
It seems to be a small rig, comparing the Lex.
yea, this is without the flip module. i like it for its compact size and the minimal light loss. plus the hmc has an LCD flip function so there is no need for the flip module.

did you have to use any shims on your setup? its doesn't appear that you did. according to redrock it says you need a 1/4" shim. i would love it if i didn't need any.

i'm still waiting on my tripod plate to arrive. its been like a week now! arrrgh!

Here's a pic of my rig. It's a lower end matte box I customized on my own. A Super Takimur 50mm 1.4. M2....HVX....and a tripod(duh)

Simple set, just a DvRigPro HD for Shoulder Mount, Some Manfrotto Head with some crappy legs that can take a beating for rough shoots, HVX200a+SgBlade+Shoot35FollowFocus+Nikkor Lenses. But do we really need more than that? ;)

The Monitor and Dolly pictured aren't mine.

you guys have all seen the video these clips are from but if you haven't and you are interested here's the link.

how does that feel without a shoulder pad? Still comfortable? What sort of handles are you using and what happened to your Sgblade?

The beginning's of my Canon XH-A1+SGblade rig. At the moment, it consists of exactly that - the cam and the 35mm adapter. Nikon lenses. Looking to add a Redrock micro follow focus, a Small HD DP1 monitor, and maybe some extra rails for a run and gun setup.

I use Cavision handgrips, and the top handle is a part of the "Cage".
It's a little hard on the shoulders, but I don't really care and you can always throw an extra tshirt over your shoulder for padding.

My beta sgblade had a scratched GG, so I went back to my trusty sgpro :)

Finnegan, can I ask what this cost you? I already have the camera and sticks, just looking for the adapter and rails. I have the Nikon lenses to use. thanks.

two suggestions to anyone out there that might see this....although this thread grows pretty well...turn off OIS, and get a hard mount for the system.

Great photos everyone.......It's great to see I'm not the only one making these crazy rigs :Drogar-Love(DBG):

I have seen many awesome rigs in this thread but can someone suggest a rig that is well balance for a EX1 + Letus Extreme adapter + Nikon Lens + Matte box?

Lor: Our rig with EX3 is well balanced without Mattebox. With the mattebox, it gets a little heavy on the front. We achieved the balance by putting the center of the rig on the shoulder.

I assumed you're using micro Shoulder Mount, correct? I'm afraid I'm going to add so much weight to the back for balancing.
