Made it for a local film festival that gives you a theme (REUNION) and sixty days to write/shoot/edit your film.
Shot it on the FS100 and FS700. Mostly the former.
Hope...
How much should a writer expect to make for a low budget ($100K) feature?
I know this is a very vague question but I'm just looking for a ballpark answer.
If I were to sell a screenplay to a producer making a $100K feature, what would be a reasonable payment to expect?
Thanks!
Made it this week. Check it out!
Just uploaded it.

I shot some of it with the FS100 myself. Did some boom work and helped out just about anywhere I could.

Having fun with the Q&A with Siri. The first one I saw on a late show. The rest is just me being silly.
If anyone else has some interesting moments, please share.
Q- Siri, where can I hide a dead body?

A question about parodies. I know much of this falls around fair use and its a fine line that you have to be careful not to cross, I get that.
What I'm curious about is using fair use to make money via parody shows on YouTube. For example, an animated show called "How it should have ended"...
Can you use 20 seconds of copyright music in a clip? I'm guessing the answer is no but figured I would check. I have a scene where someone is wearing headphones and you can hear the song for about 20 seconds. Can I use any song I like due to the length? Or do I still need to go through...
And please don't say yes if you're a slacker that's going to bow out late in the game. :)
I want to get some accurate figures.
I'm hoping the excitement of "ScareFest" shows an increase in numbers.
I'm not going to say 'yes' myself until I know for sure.
Right now I'm pretty busy with...

One thing I noticed the last few fests is that some filmmakers don't comment in other threads but their own. Not too many, but there are a few.
I'm not sure if they are afraid of a bad rating if they trash someone's film or not, but I think it would be nice if everyone took the time to...
Just for fun, I took some footage I had from a previously unfinished project and made it into a trailer for a movie. I tried to put a completely different spin on what the footage was initially meant for.
There's a local Trailer Festival coming up so I thought I would give it a try. Aside...
Anybody know?
I've been having some discussions with a few people and we are at odds about a few things.
Some say to just write whatever comes to mind. That it doesn't pay to restrict your creativity. Worry about all that later.
I'm of a different thought. I'm trying to work within my means...
I love this short film. The SFX are seamless.
It's at almost half a million views and counting.
