Our AC hasn't worked with an Oduyssey before and after our first day of shooting he reset the clip names to 001 and changed the other meta data to reel 2, day 2, etc.
On the Odyssey SSD, we have about 80 clips to download but about 28 are from yesterday. So we have two sets of clips named 1...
Can someone please watch this short video of what the charger/battery is doing and let me know which one I need to replace?

According to my charge log, the battery has been charged less than 100 times. It hasn’t seen a lot of action to be honest. So I’m surprised...
I've had an Odyssey 7Q ever since I purchased my FS700. I've used it 95% of the time I've worked with it. The past 3 times, included yesterday's shoot, I've tried to just use the native AVCHD files.
.MTS files don't have any audio on my Windows 7 machine. Not in Resovle, not in PremierePro...
So if the decrease in DR for high speed RAW recording with an external recorder is a data rate limitation of the single 3G-SDI connection...as this update states...wouldn't this also be the case with the FS700?
"However, we also found that the bit depth is still lower at high frame rates (e.g...
I sit down at my computer, sip my coffee and come to DVXuser first, hoping to see Mitch post a link to new firmware. I know it's coming. It's become almost like a jack in the box. Keep turning and turning. The anticipation is built up so high it's crazy. Surely, today is THE day?! nope.
lol...
With my 7Q timecode set to SDI/HDMI, my FS700 set to rec run, the timecode displayed on the 7Q matches and syncs perfectly. However, once the files are downloaded, the audio WAV displays a timecode start of 00:00:00:00 for every clip...while the footage displays the correct timecode and matches...
So I had a shoot in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta on Friday. -25C ( -40 with the windchill) One of the last sequences was filming a dogsled out on the open lake. The wind was vicious! I basically had to hold my gloved hand over my face in-between shots. Definitely didn't prepare sufficiently for the...
Thank you CD for engineering the 7Q for a robust working environment!
Last week, I was shooting a promo with a new assistant (you already know where this is going) and after mounting the FS700 on the tripod and then mounting the 7Q to the FS700, he called me over to complain about the tripod...
Haven't gotten an answer from CD yet, so I thought I'd ask the group.
Are any of you running a director's monitor from the output of the 7Q? I've tried 6 devices now from the HDMI output and the SDI output (using an SDI to HDMI converter). None of the monitors will display the image coming out...
I honestly don't understand why Sony's 2K output is so shockingly poor considering what the sensor is capable of...but I really was looking forward to using my 7Q to record 2K raw. Unfortunately, the FS700's 2KRAW output seems to use the same down sampling algorithms as their internal 2K...
