FINALLY getting around to watching this trilogy. Part one, Koyaanisqatsi, was tonight. Anyone see it (I am assuming most film vets have)? If you haven't, definitely highly recommended for the cinematography if nothing else... EVERY single shot (Ron Fricke) - absolute perfection! I dug...

After seeing coffee's outtake I thought I would post the "BOGO" outtakes since I have been working on and am just about done with the Director's Cut DVD... But then I thought why not post the wheelchair dolly shot that's in the new cut (same tools as I used in "Hunting Camp": handheld DVX in...

Surprised this one hasn't been commented on yet...(unless I somehow missed it, if so, sorry)... I finally saw it tonight, gotta tell you I thought it was a good little thriller. It eases you along in the first half and then the 2nd half just kind of takes off. Good stuff! Rachael McAdams...

WHY did they even make this movie? Probably cause people like me bought the 1st one's DVD. WHY do movies that aren't taking place in "the matrix" have scenes that defy the laws of physics and therefor any believeability whatsoever even in an action movie world? I will admit that the...

OK so I am at work, I open up my sammy I made this morning and the ****er has mold on it. ****! So do I just tear off the mold (its on like 10-15% of the bread on one side) and eat the sandwich? I don't really have anything else to eat. If I tear it off and start eating it, I may start...

I wish I knew how to do this more clearly in a poll...anyhow... OK, so a "no-name" independent filmmaker with a miniDV camera makes a low/no budget movie. Let's say the movie's budget is anywhere from $0 to under a million dollars (maybe even lower, but basically anyone on this forum, at this...

The Great Lakes Independent Film Festival has selected the 10 minute cut of "BOGO" to show opening night in September! This is the extended version of the short that some of you may recall started out as a 6-minute DVXfest entry here in the May/June "One Script to Rule Them All" competition...

Has anyone else seen this movie?! I saw it at Tribeca this year, it was frickin great!!! It was called "Hooligans" then, now it's Green Street Hooligans. Trust me. This is a killer flick, but in a suprising twist, no Hollywood studios want to touch it...it's still an indie. It swept SXSW...

I will first wait and see if anyone has even seen this movie before I bother to go any further... Directed by Gus Van Sant Stars Matt Damon and Casey Affleck

from HD Studio – Issues & Agendas: A New Player Lurks in the HD-DVD Shadows While negotiators representing two large consumer electronics groups try to compromise on a single new high-definition DVD format, a potential new competitor is waiting in the wings for its own Hollywood close-up...

There are some really recognizable sound effects out there on the net, like say the whole Star Wars library. Are these and all other effects that don't come with an audio editor or on a license free cd copywritten?

Eerie Horror Film Fest www.eeriehorrorfest.com October 5-9 Erie, PA For all you horror freaks (and apparently there are droves of you on here) this is my local horror film fest and I think you should all try and attend. This year's guests (brace yourselves): Gunnar Hansen, Jasmin St. Claire...

BOGO, a bizarro sci-fi/dark comedy Originally made for the May/June DVXFest, but now with an opener and credits (aka the 7 minute version)! We are currently working on the "Director's Cut" - adding back in some scenes we had to cut to reach the fest's time limit... Made with a DVX100A...
