Transporter 2, why why WHY?!

WHY did they even make this movie?

Probably cause people like me bought the 1st one's DVD.

WHY do movies that aren't taking place in "the matrix" have scenes that defy the laws of physics and therefor any believeability whatsoever even in an action movie world?

I will admit that the blatant dodging bullets scene had to have been done on purpose, and I was willing to let that go, but then the car jump (spinning car jump no less) to perfectly knock off the tiny detonator attached under it with a crane hook? As a filmmaker I think you have to do a better job of letting your audience know they are seeing a cartoon by the trailer the website or something.

WHY do movies with obviously tiny budgets (in comparison) sometimes have the MOST over-the-top scenes in their scripts that require lots and lots of CGI?

I loved the hand-to-hand GROUNDED action scenes, they were the highlights, but we know you don't have the resources to make something look half-real, so why bother shooting a script with scenes in nose-diving planes, cars flying from building to building, a model that weighs 80 pounds swinging on a chain at enough force to kick someone....etc etc ETC. The plane stuff was like a bad cutscene in a 90's video game. I hate laughing at movies that are trying so hard, but man...ouch!

WHY did I see this movie?

Cause I liked the first one, hell, I saw it in the theater (I like Luc Besson) and was happily surprised, but nothing warranted a sequel, even a model wielding duel guns. Damn you "CHUD.com" and your glowing review! You pushed me over the fence!

This movie could have been dumb fun, like the first one was, but for some reason this time they decided to fake BIG BUDGET dumb fun, and man, if you thought xXx was over-the-top to a new level of cheese, you ain't seen nothing yet. I sure wasn't expecting rocket science, I just didn't expect them to go so stupid.

I hate to say it, but stay away from Transporter 2. I think Stratham could be a great action dood, but man he needs to get outta the Audi and into something else or soon he is going to be straight-to-video.

End of rant.

My favorite was when he dives head first out of the window of the 3 story building without any reservations, having absolutely no knowledge of what or where he's going to land.

I wish they would have somehow rethought a way he could get the bomb off the bottom of the car. I somewhat checked out at that point, then decided what the hell, they got my 12 bucks, might as well try and enjoy it. Pure popcorn flick, just make sure you let go of all sense of reality. Was the french inspector in the first? I can't recall?

I got in this movie for free. You have to suspend a good amount of disbelief in order to enjoy this. Dialog was cheesy at times but i ignored it. Car tricks were fun! As for the scene where he flew from building to building that kind of reminded me of Rumble in the Bronx, so i liked it. The blonde was good enough to look at. Chase scenes were fun... Jason Statham wears great suits. I wouldn't pay to see it.

Lyons Den, I had a feeling this one would turn out bad. I haven't seen it, but I did see some extended clips on Ebert and Roeper, and man...it looked HORRIBLE. I completely understand what you are saying about the whole "Matrix" style being added to a film that is supposed to take place in some kind of reality. I am also sick of cheap CGI, and I think it is one of the worst tools. If you use it, make it convincing. Some of this crap really gets on my nerves. Thanks for the warning! I just saved $10.00

Bad bad bad. cheesy, over the top, pitiful dialog. However the movie did make me laugh....because the dialog was beyond bad. The special effects were crude, and should have been like pre-viz stuff......nothing spectacular.

Yeah, this is one of the worst movies ever.......and the first showed some great potential. All of that was wasted in this one. Jason Statham oozes charm, and I think he could be great at these types of movies, but it'll take something better than this.

He'd make the perfect hitman from the games.

LOL I liked it for it's entertaining-make-fun-of-it-while-watching-with-a-group-of-friends aspect.

However, if you were looking for a super deep plot, then this is the wrong ally to look down.

Yeah, I got in free. I guess I would have been pissed if I had to pay money.

A deep plot, no. But come on...the action sequences should be great! If it were a fun, exciting ride, or something like that I'd maybe go see it, but if the action looks this bad...I'll pass. I wouldn't even want in for free!

All I have to say is that when it comes to martial arts fights, NOTHING compares to the new kid in town, Tony Jaa (OngBak). The next generation Jackie Chan! I'm just so immune to these wannabe action choreographs. Yeah, I saw this and it wasn't all that great! Plus those girls he had in the film needs to eat alittle more. That is way too skinny. Don't want to hump a broom stick! :)

LOL yeah, they're in midair, when the pilot gets shot and the jet is doing tight loops (which would easily snap the wings off) and going into flat spins, and then landing in the water... (the main character dives to the back of the plane, to escape the impact) LOL And he swims away just fine. He even uses the dead body of the badguy as a flotation device.

Yeah, I saw that too. I can see the suits now, "We gotta have him jumpin' away from a fireball", "That's cliche'", "Well he's gotta be jumpin' from something dangerous", " I don't know, we've run out of things to jump away from", "Well...", "I got it!, he can jump from an ocean hitting him at 500 miles an hour!", " You did it again you sun'o'*****!"(All together) "Huzzaahhh!"

This could have been a much cooler flick. Ah well, Jason is starring in Guy Richie's new movie "Revolver" - and Madonna ain't in it.:)

Cheers.

I think one thing we can all agree on is that Stratham SHOULD be getting much better material. I don't think he's a wannabe at all, he is fun to watch. The hose fight was awesome, I would have loved to see more of that stuff! But alas...

And please don't say I was going to this movie looking for a deep plot, I love dumb action! When it's good. To me even if it's action, you are doing **** on earth, so you can't just up and fly, there has to be some reason behind it. I will buy into the main character falling into a vat of ____ and then he can fly, but if he just starts flying out of nowhere, you lost me.

Did anyone else laugh out loud when he dodged the bullets in the hallway from like 20 feet away? i am trying to think of when else I couldn't hold it in besides the car leap, the bullet dodge, and him jumping with the jet ski onto the road and following the bus...oh man, funny stuff! Oh yeah and how did they save all those people in the end that got the virus? I know we aren't supposed to think that far but they never really showed anything (as well as why didnt Frank get sick)?

I hope "Revolver" kicks ass!

yeah haha the bullets in this movie were nuts. All of them showed tracer fire, and were slow-moving... and never seemed to hit anything, they just whizzed across the screen in streaks of light.

That was one of the clips I saw on Ebert and Roeper...the bullet dodging! HA! It looked totally cheesy. You know, the more I read about this film, the more I want to see it...I could use a good laugh.
