BOGO, a bizarro sci-fi/dark comedy

Originally made for the May/June DVXFest, but now with an opener and credits (aka the 7 minute version)!
We are currently working on the "Director's Cut" - adding back in some scenes we had to cut to reach the fest's time limit...

Made with a DVX100A. Budget: $50.
Original script by Barry S. and TC. Reworked by myself and the cast.

So what do you guys think?

once i saw you guys comparing it to soap operas i thought "oh man, these two are gonna be very disappointed" LOL

thanks for checking it out coffee! I plan on posting the director's cut as well when it's finished...

Haha, I saw it in the competition and liked it. You had the best apple hit! It makes me laugh everytime I watch it.

I'll wait for the Director's Cut as I'm downloading other stuff at the moment, and it doesn't seem like much has been added yet.

There was only one Days of our Lives grab and this is it...

And I love it, it makes me smile (his expression) hehe. In fact I saved it to my computer so I can look at it anytime I like.

Thanks safarijoe!

Mike E, I will have to tell Trevor Huster (the actor in the pic) that you saved his mug to your computer. Nothing against that at all, but I will definitely play it up to him, especially after another member posted before that one of the main male characters was very porno (which we are still all completely baffled by)! LOL!

If we reach page 2 here I will throw up some more grabs...

Hahaha, well I don't know if you've seen Trey Parker's Orgazmo, but there is a guy who plays a porn star in that who does resemble Trevor. I'll post a grab from that in a moment.

Haha, I don't actually own it yet, but I am definately going to get it soon. Want to see the special features.

more grabs...

more grabs...

here is a still from one of the cut scenes:

and here is Taylor getting smacked in the head by an apple:

we had to do this one many times because i wanted everything just right with big particles shooting out everywhere. got some good outtakes, and at a certain point Bill (who played Taylor) started wincing far ahead of time because he got hit so often. which of course lead to even more takes...he he

happy you guys liked the apple toss scene. people dont realize how tough it is to throw something out of a car window with any kind of force or distance unless theyve tried it.

it's not exactly flying, but it is in a tree!

that scene (the still has no CC btw) and another between the girls are going back in for the Director's Cut, I am about halfway done with editing and Andi Wondersound has started re-working the score.

Don't know if you watched the short LDP but in the dream scene there's a blue fish (one of our vfx! wow!). see it's all relevent, sorta!
