For all you horror freaks (and apparently there are droves of you on here) this is my local horror film fest and I think you should all try and attend.

This year's guests (brace yourselves): Gunnar Hansen, Jasmin St. Claire, Lloyd Kaufman, Ben Meade, John Hancock, Dorothy Tristan, Mark Borchardt, and Michael Stanley

Mark Borchardt's new movie "Scare Me!", shot on the DVX mind you, will be showing (this may in fact be the premiere of the movie). And Jasmin's new movie "Swamp Zombies" (which myself and my wife have roles in) will also be showing.

If you are a horror fan you should make every effort to come out, would be cool to finally meet some of you too!

We had an absolute blast last year!( click for pic!)

The film selections for this year's festival are just about locked, but I was thinking maybe some of you should enter the shorts you make in this new DVXfest (yeah there's a fest this month, and it's about the undead and stuff, if you didn't know) into next year's fest.

There are tons of links and info on that site above. But here's the link again:

Thanks for your time and feel free to ask anything you want, I will try and help out...

That sounds awesome. If I was anywhere near PA I'd do it. Gunnar Hansen? Totally cool. What acool Horror line-up! (Jasmin St. Claire - Grrrrrrrr )

Mark Borchardt? That's the guy from American Movie. Excellent! What is he like?

Good luck with the festival. Sounds like a great time!

That's good to know. The guy is a character, which is a grea thing. The world needs more characters. If he uses a DVX on his latest project is there any chance he'd like to become a member to this site? He'd be a great additional perspective to the community.

PK,

Mark didn't seem like a very techincal guy to me, I think it was more his operator's choice on the cam.

I said something to him about the forum last year but by how often he answers his emails (and updates the "scare me!" website) I can tell he doesn't surf too often. Will definitely tell him again though to become a DVXuser! No doubt.

I wonder how many of the new young'ns on the site here have even heard of the guy.

um, another horror thing for you guys I came across this morning if you wanted to cut trailers of your shorts and submit:

Good Luck Filmmakers!

AMERICAN MOVIE is one of the most inspirational movies I've ever seen. And COVEN was actually pretty good!

I'm looking forward to seeing Mark Borchardt's feature debut. Does he have distribution line up for it yet?

I just worked with a guy who was his boom operator on a shoot. Says he's super nice and monumentally disorganized. They supposedly had a 9AM call one day and didn't start till near dark.

Looks like no one from the forum is able to come to this. Or I just didn't make enough of an attention getter of a title

Nonetheless, just wanted to add that Alice Cooper is probably coming now too...

Would totally show up if I were in Pennsylvania. Look forward to the pictures.
