When I capture m2t files, they all turn into AVI files. After 2 years the rig just started doing this. I've checked and rechecked all the properties.
I'm using VMSP 9b and have tried from 2 cameras to an external WD drive. I'm pretty sure it's not the FW ports or cable. I think they're either...
I have an A1 and looking to get an A1s for its audio limiters. If the new Canon XX-XX due in January? doesn't suit me, then I'll pop for an A1s .. and be quick about it.
IMO they'll all go fast if folk don't like the new one. :Drogar-Shock(DBG):
Cheers.
I saw this when it spent a week in our local theatre and really liked it.
Rented the DVD and followed it again with the remotes volume to catch the faster lines. Robert De Niro nails it well and good.
Don't know if it was just close to home but the gags hit home. Loved the agents dialogue...
Hi all, to those with the A1s .. when you combine the stereo onboard mic with one external XLR mono mic, does the onboard mic collapse to mono?
And when you use a stereo mic into the minijack and the stereo onboard mic, do they both collapse to mono? Thanks.
Cheers.
Saw the thread on Helicopter Aerial Shots but this probably should be a new one.
Has anyone owned/tried/used/know of the Kenyon gyro stabilisers in particular the KS6? I need something like that for air to air video work.
Cheers.
I'm shooting large aircraft in a giant hangar, using 2 x 1800W Redheads to light the area. There are tungsten lights in the roof which only partially light the aircraft on a dull day.
Sometimes we're near the hangar doors with daylight spilling onto the scene. So I figure I need 3200K >...
Here's a good example of the RODE SVM on the Canon A1. Getting the sound right shooting airplane vids can be tricky, not knowing exactly what levels to set for the approaching engines.
The Connie puts out 12,000 HP on takeoff, sure gives the SVM a workout.
Here everything worked, she taxied...
My D50 is brand new...primary use is recording FX for video and movies and it works, small and unobtrusive in public.
Up to now I've been evaluating everything on 7506 cans and they sound great. The internal 120degree mic setting sounds good, I think that'll be the best setting for a surround...

Check out the pro NTG-3 shotgun, it's a major step up from the NTG-1 and 2.
I've got one, it delivers a great sound and it just sold an SD 302 cause of the mic pre amps in the Canon A1. Now I can go in line level.....oh the thought of it.
Rode mics have released a new pro grade mic, the NTG-3. 48v and it's got some new features. Comes with a killer cylinder for protection.
I've got one, sounds great and it fits the Rycote 3 blimp with the 3s windjammer on. Check it out at Rodes site. $US699.
