I'm shooting footage with my DVX-100A set at the F5 scene file setting. I capture the footage into a new 24P project and everything looks fine during actual capture. However, when I drop the footage onto the timeline and preview, motion is jerky and stuttering. If I deinterlace, using field...
Is anyone using the Bella video editing keyboard for Premiere? Would like some feedback as far as how user-friendly they are, speeding up productivity, etc.
I want to use a cross dissolve transition in After Effects CS3, but didn't find one under stock transitions. Is it possible to create a 2 sec. cross dissolve and save it as a preset? How is this accomplished?
Thanks!
Have finally made the jump to a dual monitor system, so am upgrading my existing set-up. Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced ($300-$400) 19" widescreen flat panel monitor ?
Thanks!
Have been searching for an authorized Panasonic service center in California for my DVX-100A and came across these folks: www.digitronelectronics.com/dvx.htm
Has anyone had any dealings with them before?
Thanks!
Am considering making the jump to dual 17" or 19" monitors. Any recommendations for a good, reasonably priced model? New Egg has a ton of them.
Thanks!
Am currently running an ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 video card, which supports dual monitors. Interested in setting up a dual monitor system, but is this card compatible with Premiere Pro CS3?
I try not to use the head cleaning cassette too often on my DVX-100A, but have run into a situation lately where, even after I've used the head cleaner, the red "circle x" icon begins to flash after only minimal use. The camera currently has about 75 hours on it. Is it time for a professional...
I just upgraded from Premiere Pro 1.5 to CS3 and when I installed the Magic Bullet Editors 1.0 that came with my DVX-100A, I have all the Misfire filters but none of the Looks Suite filters. There was no separate Looks Suite folder on the install disc and they did work fine in PPro 1.5, but...
I'm seeking any DVX users in the Sacramento, CA area, who might be interested in helping out with our micro-budget retro sci-fi serial, "Thirty Second Doom", based on the classic forties and fifties cliffhangers.
We're preparing to shoot the finale of, "Chapter Two: Tractor of Doom" on Sunday...
I hope I've got this posted in the right place; I'm trying to find a composer in the Northern California area who might be able to score some background music for our retro sci-fi serial fan film. We've got some clips posted on the YouTube link below.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
It seems as though we've been working on this forever, but finally completed chapter one of our micro budget, retro sci-fi serial, "Thirty Second Doom", inspired by the classic cliffhangers of the forties.
I've posted some clips on YouTube; the trailer, gunfight, lab accident sequence and some...
Perhaps I should have posted this in the Premiere forum, but thought I'd try here first.
I'm creating some stills in Photoshop CS to be used as DVD menu screens. I want to make sure all the links stay within the TV safe lines for a standard 4:3 screen. What are the dimensions for the TV safe...
I'm trying to find a clean version of the infamous Wilhelm scream sound effect. Have been to the Wilhelm site, but only references, nothing downloadable. Anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks!
We recently shot some green screen work in the trusty garage using an Azden SGM1X shotgun mike to record dialogue into a Panasonic DVX-100A. In addition to normalizing the audio in Premiere 1.5, what are some other filters which might help to improve dialogue audio level and quality during...
I found an entry-level matte box for my DVX-100A; it's an Image 2000 with a Cavision top french flag. The matte box is plastic and very light. I Googled and couldn't find any info on it. Anyone know about this one? Would it be OK to use this without support rails?
OK, a couple of micro-budget rookie questions:
We're putting together a four chapter homage to the classic forties cliffhangers, which is being filmed with a DVX-100A. Many of our "interior" shots are done in front of a greenscreen with vintage laboratory background plates. Due to space and...
In a tutorial explaining the features of DVMatte Pro, a "guerilla" green screen lighting set-up was used, featuring standard hardware store flourescent fixtures fitted with Kineflo Super Green Key tubes, which give off a green tinted light for use with the screen. I did a Google search but...
