A new video from Pop Friction. The first video I used with the Technicolor Preset. So good. Like a whole new camera. I love low contrast images and this really did the job.

35mm f2 and 85mm 1.8. Exposed 100 iso, 1/50th, at f/3.2
One 320W light used for key.
Audio: Rode NTG-3
FCP. Colored with Colorista II.
New sketch I shot with the 7D. Used the 24mm 2.8 and 85 1.8 with a 3 stop ND filter and a reflector. Sound was done with NTG-3 and the H4n. FCP and Colorista. BTW. Plural eyes gave me some trouble. I recorded on stamina mode in order to preserve battery life of my H4n, and I didn't realize that...
Is a new sketch I made for my youtube channel. I think it looks pretty good besides the issues I had with exposure changes in the natural light. That's why one setup's worth of shots looks so degraded, as I had to bump up the exposure in post.

You know. I didn't make it to the finals and to be honest I am really bewildered by their choices. None of my favorite ads made it to the finals.
I thought I would share my spot. It was shot on the 7D in LA with a small crew, no permit and a small budget (around 200 USD). Only had a dolly and...

Shot with Canon 7D with 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, and 24mm 2.8 and some reflectors in a couple of hours.
Edit in FCP and CC in Color.
Ok Ok. It's a Spec.
But Please, tell me if you like it. It was a bit difficult as the sun was going down so the color temp of the light went from 5600 to 7000 or so within the three hours we were there. So CC was a a bit rough.
No budget. Just a couple of friends spending a couple of hours...
"Never Be The Same"
2 Minute Micro film. Shot over three days with a completely volunteer cast. This turned out beautifully.

I've always been a fan of Janusz Kaminski's diffusion. Im a huge fan of texture over resolution. And have always experimented with adding post diffusion/glow with mixed results.
I was watching The Informant! last night and really liked the use of Double Fog Filtering throughout. This made me...

Have a great day.
Feel free to download away because vimeo didn't recognize it as HD cause I compressed it with source res and 960X720 came out.

Im looking for a good 35mm for my Letus Extreme.
Will this lens work for my Nikon mount?

I was concerned because it has auto focus??
Thanks!
I have been trying to convert my 60p footage in Final Cut... and it will not convert. Now I have tried on three different computers with final cut 6.
It must be my camera... but how?
It has always worked before!
I haven't changed anything on my settings...
Has this happened to anyone else?
Has anyone tried stripping lenses while using a 35mm lens adapter? I have an HVX and am planning on purchasing a Redrock adapter for Nikon Lenses. I want to achieve the naturally diffused and "less than perfect" image that stripped lenses provide in Film application. My understanding is that...
I shot around 70 minutes of 720 24pn of a speaking engagement last weekend. I uploaded the P2 cards onto my Mac Pro and in Final Cut its telling me the clip is spanned. As I imported the clip it seemed to work until it finished importing and then read idle.
I'm using Final Cut 6 and I've tried...
Is the HPX capable of being a studio camera?? I have read that is does HD SDI and I have heard that it doesn't. Does anyone a concise answer to this question?
I work at a church and we are moving into a new building and upgrading to HD. We want 3 HPX500's. Can anyone advise me on a good tripod for this camera?
Thanks.
