I've always been a fan of Janusz Kaminski's diffusion. Im a huge fan of texture over resolution. And have always experimented with adding post diffusion/glow with mixed results.
I was watching The Informant! last night and really liked the use of Double Fog Filtering throughout. This made me think that using the Double Fog could really help make up for the lack of dynamic range inherent in the HVX200. It could make highlights more attractive, etc. (if you like the blooming highlights feel, that is)
Has anyone used the Tiffen Double Fog3 filter on the HVX? I can only find a 72mm thread size on BH. Does this require an adaptor? And finally, can I just screw it on using the stock mattebox? Or do I need an aftermarket solution.
