    C300: C300 mark 2

I'm not familiar with the original CLog having been using Slog2 for the last few years. I assumed with CLog2 I'd use the same methodology, namely ETR then pulling down highlights thus ensuring clean blacks. However, I found that even at ISO 800 in CLog 2 and exposing white at bang on 60 IRE I'm...

    C300: C300 Mark2 - High level of noise

Re the first grab - if you shoot at 1000 ISO in daylight I think you can expect noise. How about lowering the ISO and still controlling your depth of field using the ND's if you need to? Might yield better results. I just knocked off this grab using the same shooting set up, Wide DR, BT709...

C300: 3 things that would make C300 Mark II nearly perfect

I agree. I switched from a Sony and have found it a joy to use. Just a bit of fun really and if Canon were to implement any changes through future firmware updates, those would be my requests. It's an incredibly versatile camera and I love the fact you can use it completely stripped down with...

C300: 3 things that would make C300 Mark II nearly perfect

The Canon C300 Mark II, a damn fine camera for sure but 3 things it could do with IMHO: 4K60p, obv. Proper centre scan (with audio) to allow use of Super 16/ B4 lenses. The ability to apply LUT(s) to clips when playing back (unless I'm missing something). Oh and if i'm being picky - the...

Any Update on the Convergent Design Sunscreen Hood for the Odyssey

My solution is Westside's protector with a Camraid hood. Works just fine.

NAB is over, so are you selling your FS700?

So, had a sneak preview of the AJA Cion - great spec, lovely clean and simple design with nice mechanics and not overly menu based when it comes to functions. Had a lovely bit of tan suede to boot! Pretty damn close but for me, the lack of internal ND's and PL mount only, mean the FS700/ 7Q...

    Rigging the O7Q

Some things just work. Ronford Baker heads are one of those things. I brought mine in 2001 and use it week in week out. It's been serviced twice. It's like an old mate!

What are you carrying your 7Q with?

Peli 1450. Room for 7Q, visor, hood, power options and up to 6 SSD's. Olof's hood is good as it acts as screen protector (no need to take it off) and I attach a Camraid visor onto that for bright sunlight.
