here's quick shot when i put shogun on top of my FS700. (using magic arm is just temporary, i needed to check where and which angle gonna be good for my handheld style.)
yes, with current firmware we don't get good enough benefit like Odyssey7Q (and 7Q+) for FS700. Shogun is not raw recorder...

alright, here's simple comparison between three camera, FS700, a7S, and a6000.

a7S has XAVC-S, not XAVC.
it must have some improvement but XAVC-S is still 8bit420 so we can't expect much from it. it's just twice big sized H264.
the biggest/greatest data we can get from this camera is Uncompressed 8bit422. so difference between H264 is...you know it. exactly the same...

this full frame mirrorless camera has amazing performance for video shooting and many FS700 user might have interesting because of that S-Log2...
after i've played with a7S and Shogun at Sony Japan headquarters few weeks ago, one thing i know about a7S is that little monster camera has totally different level of Dynamic Range. no one can't beat her. period.
