    how to: export/render with NO matting?!

    I want to export a .mov specificly, but at my aspect ratio! With no black bars... just the film. Is this even possible? Its quite time sensitive so any help would be great. This seems like a really basic feature... export with no matting. Any ideas??

    Easy Tape Question.

    Its obvious everyone recomends the MQs, and to not switch tapes. Since I got my DVX100a I have been using the MiniDV DVM60-ME Panasonics. Appearently that is not the recommendation. My question is: I am having my DVX100a proffesionaly cleaned, would it be ok to then start using the MQs?

    red "x" on display

    im sure this has been asked before, but i have a red "x" that keeps showing up on my display at the top left corner. it seems to come and go at random. I have found nothing in the manual... a little help please? :) (this is not the "no tape" display, this is a circle with an X in it)
