The only thing I cant figure is why Panasonic would still only use 1/3" chips.

Heat issues with the CMOS I'm guessing.

The AB Gold mount accepts a V mount adapter so no problems.

Are there 2 or 4 xlr audio inputs?

Being a 10 bit camera has the audio been able to improve (not that it was ever bad) from 16 bit 48k to a higher bit rate or sample rate?

Three physical mic inputs to two channels but I think the wireless slot allows for two more to Ch 3 and 4?

I don't believe the camera is dual standard, at least none of the 18 websites I have been on looking at specs has mentioned it.

Bad move, but oh well, maybe they will surprise us and it is buried in the menus somewhere?

Yeah cant find that info either. But like in the 500 could just be in menu operation.

I've heard on the grapevine that a HPX300 is due in February..

1/2" chips and semi shoulder mount with removable lens...

Yeah, but it´s cheaper in the US.

It will be around 10.000 Euros ($ 13.000) over here and has probaly no 24 frames setting, just 25.

Couple of things from the Abel vids

1/ 3 options on the ND wheel, so 1 would be off. Therefor only two selectable ND filters built in.

2/ Syncro scan control positions - very nicely placed IMO.

3/ 2 x SDI out.

4/ Wireless mount - ffs why not on the 500
