As your footage was my inspiration for pulling the trigger on a d90 purchase I was wondering if you could disclose your 'secrets' for exposure adjustment and control in the d90 video mode.

I have two lenses--a 24mm f2.8 and a 50mm f1.4--both AF, but with manual aperture controls and over-ride switch on the lens. I know that some recommend the older full manual lenses, but I want to future-proof these purchases, and I would guess that the next gen of Nikons with movie mode (or the d90 with a firmware upgrade hopefully) will play better with the AF series.

Brilliant. absolutely brilliant. The ability to take that camera anywhere at all (and have your actors available) is truly a wonderful thing. I was in Manhattan over New Years and with all the hustle and bustle I was wiching I had dragged an actor along with me as well as my camera... but a fully loaded HVX is such a huge target that in my mind it just wasn't feasible. I'm glad you got the shots though (curses!) and they look absolutely brilliant. Can't wait to see the rest of your mad footy.
 
Zak, where's the podcast dude? Show us more mad footy. You started this so you'd better keep it up man. seriously: give us our weekly fix.

sorry guys, I've been hesitating to unleash the next podcast. I don't think you can take it. massive changes and expansion throughout this project. the title for the upcoming podcast episode is... "THE GAMECHANGER".
 
Really digging that Dusty Sorg character, has an interesting look and style to him. Look forward to seeing this one. :beer:

the biggest hurdle with the D90 would be.... let's see.... flashes from still cameras and strobes don't fill the whole screen. but other than that, it's all good.

all IS well. it's just changing. for the better.
