profound pictures presents "Teacher's Pet"

This was a tough nut to crack... excellent direction of all those children. I enjoyed the duality of the conversation, in light of the past year's controversies... I found this film to be very engaging and well-done. Considering all the challenges you faced... it's even more admirable.

While the ending didn't do it for me personally... I didn't let that cloud my admiration for your film. Good job.

My favorite music in the fest. Its seems many of us composers are great at setting a mood, but somehow this soundtrack was unique. Seemed to have a style all its own, subtly devolving from the beautiful to the disturbed, the soundtrack was a huge part of what made this film work. Great work by Erez who created some ear catching melodies that had me "Googling" him the moment his credit appeard on the screen.

Kid was great too. And I thought is was cool how the teacher's trophy shown in the opening moments was bookended into the end. Effortless pacing, great story telling.

Cheers,

Erik

Thanks, Erik. I'm really proud of the work Erez did on our film. He puts everything into his craft and is a super collaborator. I appreciate the comments.

Okay, that's awesome! I didn't get a chance to view your film before the first round closed. I'm so glad you made it into the next round. Great story, well told, good cinematography, better than average acting, just simple enough to be creepy and yet sweet and admirable. well done.

Thanks a lot. I'm glad you gave it a look. Salvation rocked, so your comments mean a lot. Cheers!

Man I love this film, you had me the whole way, I didnt know to feel discussed at the fact that she might be molesting him, or what? But the twist was great and timing is perfect. Great job! I hope you win. Cheers :)

Thanks, man. Your on my list of feedback that I've got to leave. Your film was cool, and I've been meaning to stop by your thread. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, Matt. You'd be happy to know that the light you made me was on set. It's built like a tank and still chugging away. Unfortunately, I left my gels at home and the light never got switched on.:crybaby:

Thanks for the comments. I love hearing feedback from the old guards here. Cheers!

Congratulations! I remember starting this one up and thinking it was going to be a kid-flick and then loving the demented path it followed at the end. Great work, can't wait to see what you do next fest!

Haha, yeah. I love that about Wenonah's story and Steve's interpretation of it. The film slyly lets you think it's going in one direction then it totally surprises you, yet without striking it in the face out of the blue. What's most beautiful about it as I have found myself - is that on a second watch, the film gets a whole different meaning. Suddenly everything seems to obvious and you realize that everything has always guided you directly to that twist, and you (just like myself initially and many others of our great audience) would indeed follow its guidance unless they had that slight "cute kid flick" prejudice.

You know, I've always loved how Steven Spielberg and his composer John Williams play with their audience almost cunningly, setting you little traps then soon after taking you out of them, so to speak. I've had the pleasure to do it myself here with Steve!

Thanks again, Chris. When are you going to let me make "Raising The Dead" ha ha
You've been teasing me with that for a year.:)

I've updated the first page with some BTS shots. At least, what we had...
