"TWISTED" - A ZazaCast Film

I left you a comment.

LMAO! That's great....looks like you've been spending to much time in the studio. By the way, this was the film I saw you having a part in. One of these days I'll get you to come out to the right coast for a production...or maybe I'll just have to head out there?

TWISTED is approved, and it's first on my list since 24/7 was the first I liked from Time fest (first was a little disappointing, but 24/7 made me download others).

Curios to see how far you progressed. See ya (or something) on the fest. : D

Thank you so much Mile! This of course means you will be at the top of my viewing list too.

(although I will be watching ALL films in the fest)

How in the world do you get enough energy to do two films? And on a serious note, don't you have a favorite? If I ever worked on two films concurrently I could see it being hard to not devote more energy to one over the other. Hmmm.

Well, these are two very different films...and they are all my babies...got to love them all!

The key was being organized, getting an early start and sticking to it. I also worked with Alex Whitmer (who wrote Enchanting Twist & cast it too). All I can say is that I'm a workaholic and I really love filmmaking. I also wanted to shot one film (Twisted) with a 35mm adapter and one without (Enchanting Twist).

I can always sleep when I die....:)

Two films. Wow! One film beat the crap out of me.

I'm intrigued by your screen gabs and can't wait to check it out.

Good job on completing both, most definitely. Sounds like you were more organized than most of us, especially given the huge amount of time we had to develop and produce the films. Personally I got complacent about scheduling and it was always "yeah we can do it the week after, no problems" but then that got out of hand. Then again, some of us (me) seem destined to almost always have a late entry that surprises the hell out of us...

Cool...I look forward to your comments! (I'll be doing the same for you)

Yeah... we had a ton of time and I got started right after the fest was announced. No great task if you just keep on top of it!

Oh cool. You might have to make your way out here though, unless I get lucky and am able to quit my job soon... I'm stuck working the 9 to 6, 5 days a week... I gotta quit doing that! Soon, hopefully... :)

Hang in... things have a way of working out. This isn't the best economy to be quiting a job in.... know what i mean?

Wnated to check out your other thread ZaZaCast. You do some really good BTS stuff. Loving the lighting and framing in the grabs. Looking forward to this one too. Good luck!

Just finished watching Twisted. Love the opening shots! Cool concept and characters. I especially like the radiostation "DVX 420"!

The footage seemed a bit warm but I liked your use of rack focus for some of the small dialog transitions.

Great work man.

Rack Focus was awesome
Character's were interesting

A little confused as to what was really going on towards the end

But I liked it, was well made.

AHHHH F*CK! I wrote a little review over here and then my internet connection got lost. HATE when it happens!

Music and story are good, and they fit each other. Love the whole idea, AND they way it got pulled through. I watched the film twice to understand everything, and I even liked it more during the second watch.

The house at the beggining-I so much wanted to see where that middle of nowhere is. There's no total shot (if that's how it's said in english), and though it may not be suitable for tempo at the beggining, I want to see where that twisted house/storage was!

Dialogues are very good, I just didn't like one part (it looked a little bit 'frozen', unreal), sound is really good here, and some transitions between the shots had a little strange effect on me. I didn't mean filters or so, but in-between shot, ot more accuratley, the places where I think they needed to be.

Radio DVX 420:D is a great idea, I would only (gee, how annoying I can get) put some static or unimportant broadcast before the one that affects the story. This is to get a feeling that the sound of the speaker really comes form the radio (not that it didn't looked like that this way).

All in all, I think music+shots are your best, you got some twisted idea there, and I liked the film.

Oh, and if there was juuuust a little more of that twisted part with man and the hoods, I would be overjoyed.:D

Nice pacing and acting in this one. I really liked the opening sequence as well. I think I got the ending, but I'll watch it again to make sure. But, way to go. 2 films done - very nice.
