So, I didn't want to announce anything until I was 100% sure I could get this done on time. After promising an entry for 'Dramafest' at the start of 07 and withdrawing, I didn't want to make the same mistake again.

It's been a bit of a rush to say the least, but here it is. Just uploaded but we've been working on it the last 3 weeks. We started off this morning with a 9 min edit and it's been a chore to get it to 6 and encoded today.

My first short on the Red One, and it took a lot more prep than my DVX for sure.

Some BTS to follow and a trailer before viewing opens (can we do that if we don't use footage from the film?).

Good luck everybody..... it's so exciting to be back in the fest again.

in the meantime... sleep.

Welcome! I believe a trailer would be considered promotion...with or without footage used in the movie.

Thanks everyone. I know since 'Eddie Loves You' and 'Halfway' I have been slacking biiiiig time.

It's so nice to be making films again rather than corporate videos.. I don't want it to stop.

ha!! Ya man, i didn't want to announce anything either until I got my film finished. Good to see you are entering! Looking forward to watching your film.

cheers!

Yeah man. This is going to be good fest. Good to see ya Darkline! I kind of have the feeling
that we approached a similar idea for Twilight Fest. Can't wait to see this one!

Thanks all, its nice to be here again.

I thought we were allowed to promote films as long as

a) its only on DVXuser
b) no footage from the movie.

well those were the rules back in 2006, a lot may have changed since then.

Thanks Pauly and Danielleus.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to those who helped me on this. Many people went above and beyond what was expected of them. As there are no credits on the end of this version of the film, let me give some props now to :

John Bowe - not just soundman, but life saver and with me every step of the way
Mark Lowe - my film-making muse who helped me with everything from FX to getting this down to a 6 min edit. Many nights of little sleep with both of us in front of the PC.
Gareth Morgan - For lugging the camera around and barely stopping for a break as I was up against the clock at all the shooting locations. Real trooper

Too many more to thank - the actor James for being flexible last minute, production assistants Sam and Matthew. Andrew, who let us have the location for an extra day free of charge when I totally overshot my schedule. Of course a certain Simon Bates whose contribution is the icing on the cake.

thanks everyone, Im really pleased with the result. BTS soon.

After truly digging his HorrorFest entry, I'm really looking forward to this entry from Darkline. Get your behind the scenes up!!

Less of that public display of emotion, if you please. We're British, remember?

It was an absolute pleasure, comrade. Long overdue and, hopefully, the start of a new, uninterrupted period of film-making for us both.

Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did putting our little effort together.

Here's to the coming weekend - a good few hours of viewing the other films and a lot of beer.

Thanks Jack. Some BTS updated on the front page. More later when I find the cd with the pictures on.

Doh...
