Drew! Best of luck with the edit. That can be such a tedious task. Sometimes I get annoyed watching the same few seconds over and over again just trying to get that transition perfect. You can do it, we're all looking forward to this! :)

So, in other words, if you don't...we will boycott you and all of your future films. :evil:

This is intense so far; not the film, but the editing of the film. Feels like a 24-hour film project.
 
My JDS updates aren't going to make much sense. I have 3 scenes. Both tail scenes are about a minute long, and I have the "rough draft" cuts of those. The middle scene which takes about 7 minutes in real time needs to be cut into 4 minutes, but I'm just starting the "rough draft" edit of that. so uh... 3:00pm - 2 minutes 5 seconds

I need a little break. I'm going to go on a short bike ride while I think over my edit. Thankfully I've already recorded the song I'm going to use on the piano so that's out of the way.
 
Maybe next fest everyone has to do webcams of their hair pulling, frantic key-pounding and Roto extractions. Without trying to sound malicious and sadistic, well, I'd pay to see realtime some of the stories and shenanigans that have gone on here.

Bike rides are nice. I can't go very far on a bike where I live (just around my property) so I like to go for car rides...which costs money. :) Driving helps me think, I feel like going for a drive now to sort out all of this crap in my mind but when I get back I will realize that nothing was really solved and all I did was waste money and time that I could have been using to get work done that should have been done earlier but I have been too busy procrastinating. AHHHHH!

:) But life's good...

I'm going to start a "Drew's hourly editing comments" until I've finished editing.


10:43pm ---- On the next film I make, I'm going to shoot way more than I need. I'm tired of not having the shot I need to stitch things together. On this film, it seems like I only shot character movement from the master, but when that master doesn't cut smoothly to any other shot, I'm stuck with having to make a bad cut. In time I will learn.
