NETHERBORN - Directed by Mark T. Aro

I had an awesome time shooting with you guys! Man pulling focus with the hyper-cam was quite an experience. I can't wait to put this stuff on my reel!!!

you guys did a great job! I really appreciate the help. It amazes me what happens mentally when you have a highly competent team and you can just let go of most stuff and just focus on directing. I was driving into work this morning and for the first time I thought... Oh Crap... I don't know what Resolution/settings they shot at... I don't have the footage and I started listing all of this stuff and then I remembered... " Oh yeah, I don't have to worry about this or that working cuase Gary made it and most likely it will work way better than I expected it would (and it did) and than what about this other thing.... oh yeah, Shane was handling that part... I don't have to worry and oh yeah... Matt was handling this part and he is more picky with that stuff than I am so I am good there and oh yeah Jen is handling all of that other stuff.. and she is just down right scary when it is not done right so I am good there.... just to note... I am the Director and when she yells, "Lock it up!" I immediatly go "Oh crap... I better be doing what I am supposed to or I am gonna get beat or yelled at or worse... :cheesy:" But I tell you what... we get are shots and everyone stays moving in the right direction. It really makes filmmaking very fun! Happy Day!

thanks again everyone.. I am finding it hard to focus on the day job cause I just want to get back to filmmaking!

Hey Shane... Do you need to get a Hard Drive from me so you can dump all the P2 cards.... And Troy... do you have some of my footage on your cards too? You guys let me know and I will get you a card... I can't wait to look through the footage.

Yeah, I'm having trouble focusing today too... Depleted neurotransmitters.:Drogar-KnockedOut(D

For all of you DVXuser.com types out there. Eat your hearts out... in the California Central Valley we have quite an effective and efficient film industry confederation.

The film industry in this area is just going to grow and grow.

Hyperactive Studios will be a success as the people involved are so talented, so wonderful and amazingly creative. Watching all of you guys and gals work on set is a treat.

I am looking forward to next weekend's shoots on Netherborn and Impossible Race. I will be 'banking sleep' all week for that. :)

Mark, any more Hyper-Fly rig pick up shots needed next weekend?

I just put the footage on my external hard drive and backed up to my mac. I can get that to you whenever. I haven't even been able to look at the footage because whenever I get a chance, I'm sleeping trying to recover! I just wish I was going to be there this weekend! STUPID WEDDING IN SANDIEGO HAD TO BE SCHEDULED WHEN I HAVE A SHOOT!!!!! Oh well. Just let me know when you want to pick everything up.

Gary holding my tripod hostage is not just wrong, it's mean! :crybaby: you bully! Oh well, I was going to give it to you along with the rest of my equipment for this weekend anyway! BETTER BRING A TRAILER, I don't think your car can take anymore! I think we need a picture up of your car when it's fully loaded!

Yeah, I think I corner the market on how much stuff you can stuff into a 1991 Subaru Loyale Wagon.
Shane that is a beeeeutiful tripod... I have tripod envy.

yes we do need a picture of his car up when it is packed... We will have my van though, which was mostly empty.

Can I come by after work today... to pick up footage?

PM'd ya. I have an idea. Also, I'm glad you admitted that a Transylvanian circus midget was impersonating your 'son'. Now... just who do you have impersonating your daughters? Hmmmmmmmmm?

I will never tell!

Got your reply and sent you a PM back. Only problem is that of time to construct by Friday! I may have to do the second thing I listed just to save time, but that will work just as well as the more complex first thing listed. :) Foundational supports for the device will differ based on the shoot site. Where are we shooting this scene? (Inside or outside like the fly...)

Anything will be fine... and we will most likely be shooting in my living room. Like we did with Paige on Sleeper for the vault.

OKAY! PANIC HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!

I got the footage from Shane and one of the 16 GB P2 cards was mostly empty and seemed to have duplicate footage from one of the smaller cards and a whole lot of footage was gone. My heart almost stopped! This was most of the footage that we shot from 6:00pm Friday through til 4:00am on Saturday. I would say more than 2/3 of it was gone. Equalling about 40 clips. Well after some panicked phone calls and trying to sort it all out, it looks like it is all there and the footage from one of the 4GB cards was accidentally copied into this 16GB directory. All I have to say is Redundancies are a key. Shane backed this stuff up to multiple places. The stuff he gave me was copied from one of his back ups. When you back stuff up, that does not mean put it in one place and call it done. With P2, when it is gone it is gone. Once that card is reformatted it is gone forever. So Double redundancies are always a good idea. I feel the same way about audio. We are having Mike record audio to various sources and usually it is through a couple of different Mic sources just in case.

Okay... back to the day job.

Dang, that would have freaked me out royally. Glad you still had all of that work on card and hard drive. If it was gone we would have done it again.

I PM you back on the rig idea. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I've had too many problems where computers don't do what you tell them too. BAD COMPUTER BAD BAD! :badputer: I learned my lesson. I kept the footage on the 16GB cards, and backed up to my internal and gave mark the external. I'm probably going to back up to my other external today just to make sure since the other external didn't copy correctly. ACTUALLY I think it was my fault. I think I stopped a copy and started it again, however the restart was the wrong folder. So BAD SHANE, BAD BAD
Mark ->:nads:<- Shane

Don't worry about it... no harm no fowl! However, if you feel really guilty, you could always bring the footage by the office and let me copy... as it stands I am stuck here until after work and I am dying to see the footage....
