"Love" a new short film by Ted Arabian

I completely understand you on this. When we shot the bedroom scene in The Company of Memories, we kept it extremely professional. I was behind the camera the whole time and I have no idea what our actress looks like undressed and she was the entire time. I guess this is the difference between filmmaker and creepy guy with a camera.

Hey Marlon! That is the one and only Kelli Leigh-Ann Connors! She gave me SUCH A FINE performance. Unreal. Her commitment to the role was mind boggling. She was fantastic.

UNFORTUNATELY, you will not see this scene or many of the other phenomenal footage that I had intended. Not in this cut.

I never thought that my simple, four page script would have me running up a time barrier... but I was. I had to cut so much. So much LOVE left on the floor!

I know that the Director's Cut will be an instant favorite!!!

Hey, you remember that "actress" we had come in to audition for TTN? You know, the one who wouldn't say the "F" word... What do you think she would have thought about THIS ROLE!!! LOL! :grin: Makes me laugh to think of her.

WOW! I must have the same actress here in Ottawa! She refuses to curse & kiss on camera.

Hey Mike... It was so freaking funny. Mark and I were auditioning about 50 actors out in LA and this one young woman, who had ample time to look at the sides and talk with me before her audition, stopped cold in the middle of her audition and said "I cannot say the f-word!" Can you believe it???

I mean, really. I have no problem with that BUT tell me this BEFORE the actual audition! Not when the camera is rolling and you are in the moment. (Not that she was ever really "in the moment" to begin with!

It was hysterical. Mark and I made a little film about it. I wonder if that is still somewhere.

As Blaine will attest, we have a little private joke that when a certain director says the "F" word we make a little "DING." Sounds like a damn casino half the time.
 
ha ha ha..... I am glad that we didn't practice that when I was out there! Good Lord, my head would still be ringing!!! :grin:

Ted, everytime I see you post I want a hamburger.

I'm looking forward to your new film man...you look like you really stepped up your game on this one! The set design pics look friggin sweet...I'm so jealous you have a theatre at your disposal!

Thanks Jaime for the comments. I am quite pleased with this film. I definitely felt the growth approaching this one. This is my best work so far. Whether people like it or not is another matter altogether!!!
