Thanks for all of the info. I am giving the Tilta a try - it arrived yesterday.
Can I just ask what base plate you are using? Sony original VCT 14? (or VCT U14?) I'm interested to know if you're experiencing any play between your base plate and Tilta.
The UK dealer I bought from persuaded me to try their Chinese VCT U14 clone and there's just too much play, so it's going back.
