Xl2 v.s. Xl1

IS THERE REALLY MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO CAMERAS? ALSO IF I WERE MAKING A FILM WITH EITHER CAMERA IS IT BETTER FOR THE CAMERA OPERATOR OR THE LOOK OF THE FILM?:huh:
 
The XL2 is one of the top cameras for SD, especially for Image Quality. For 16:9 SD video, its king. It's superior to the XL1 in everyway...from chips, to image quality, audio inputs, etc.

It's a great camera, I wouldn't even give the XL1 a look...get the XL2.
 
Oh god, I HATED the xl1 and xl1s. Absolutely hated so many things about them.

That being said, I'm going to agree with Kyle and say the the XL2 could be the best on the market for SD, widescreen, 24P shooting. I have a DVX and an XL2, and both are fantastic cameras in their own unique ways.
 
thanks a lot for your replies. I guess I should go for my gut and go with the xl2.You guys have really helped me out.
