XL2 Test Shots

Robert, I Really Liked The Beginning Of The Piano Flic. I Prefer More Vibrant Saturated Colors But Thats My Thing. Overall I Thought It Was Pretty Decent But Im No Pro. Id Be Interested In Knowing What Your Camera Settings Were. Think A Little Faster Shutter Spd. Could Have Eliminated Some Of The Focus Blur.
 
There is way too much compression, it looked like alot of it was out of focus for that reason to me.
 
there are some good posts on this site for compression... I have been able to get decent compression on blip.tv, that is my favorite so far... I will post when my video is done downloading here in about an hour...
 
Well, I think your shots were pretty good. A faster shutter speed won't help with focus though, if there is one thing I'd say I absolutely HATE about my XL2 its that stupid view finder they give you. That thing is all but worthless and almost impossible to focus. The autofocus works ok for GlideCam or Crane shots but I NEVER use it otherwise as its not very good either.

As far as your compression goes, its not that bad. My only advise is to just keep shooting with it until you get more comfortable with it... Oh and tell her it's ok to smile every now and then... :)
