XHA1 not turning on!!!

Mine came after a 2 and a half hour drive up to Mt. Rainer, then a two hour hike up a "former" trail wearing sneakers and carrying the A1 plus a full-on Bogen/manfrotto tripod in 95 degree heat. Once I stopped at the perfect spot, set up the A1 on the tripod, go to turn it on and..... nothing. A 10 minute freak out ensued and then by happy accident I figured it out.
"why the hell would I need to take the owners manual with me? Just leave it at home...."

love how this is turning into a legit thread hahah. might as well tell my story...

my buddy who is a Panny fanboy was yearning to buy an HVX200 a year ago, and he was playing with my cam for a sec never having held an A1, and he put it down, seemingly unimpressed...later that night, i was still feeling insulted, as he is a brilliant filmmaker(and i thought he'd like my A1), so i began to think i bought the wrong camera haha. the next day, i went to fire it up, and NOTHING. i thought that PannyBag himself hijackaed my cam...but instead, he flipped the same switch we all do at some point. but for a minute, i hated him for TWO reasons. we're still friends, and he still rents.
