I'll be testing this combo soon too. Please post any gotchas or quirks you may have encountered when setting it up with the A1.

Can I ask you something?

A full tele with deep DOF, is it possible? By the way, with and without the 35mm adapter. Can you post it?

Hiya's,
no probs setting up the A1 & SG just had to align centraly,Ive attached a full grab jpeg ,just working of the the A1 lcd tho atm!
yet to try my tele lens Im inside and its dark out!
fyi Nikon fixed 50mm f2 hence quite shallow dof

I think he means that you should shoot with much smaller aperture, like f11 so almost the entire image is in deep focus.

hmm ok I'm relativly new to 35mm lenses so your talkin about the apeture on the A1?

No, I'm talking about the SLR lenses aperture. Close it down to for example f11 and check out how deep focus you've got.

No worries. The idea would be to have deep DOF. As badlaa said, you should use a f11 or f16 or even f22, for instance. To get this.

And if possible, comparing both outcomes: adapter and camera. Then, you might see the differences between the two related to sharpness and losses.

ok here we go, deepest dof I could get in no way is this a scientific test and my lens is a bit slow..
Image on the left is SGpro with nikon AF 70-300 1:4-5.6 fully zoomed smallest iris, image on the right is standard A1

Quite useful in order to check the differences (at tele) between the stock lens offer and the sharpest 35mm adapter out there.
