that lens seems funky though. I have a 200mm Zesnar that takes similar pictures. Soft washed out, and with lots of chorma abberation. Try looking for a NON zoom, telephoto lens.
 
Good idea Timur. Since you have the adapter, can you provide the test? (XH-A1 or HV200, it's irrelevant)
 
i had posted one a while back at F22 with a 35mm FD lens. IT just looked like stock HVX footage. but it was pushing the SGpretty hard cause iwas shooting with a 1/120th a sec shutter at 60P. so the GG was starting to intoduce artifacts. but thats an extreme example. at a normal frame rate and 180 shutter angle, it looks EXACTLY like stock footage. DEEP DEEP DEEP DOF, and nice and crisp. i think Wayne kinney might still have it.
