Xh A1 Pal?

Cool.. I went to a swedish documentary school for one year in Valparaiso. Thats where we started the project that im working on now.

Do you know if its possible to buy the xh a1 in Santiago? And if so where (and if they have an internet address)?


The camera should have been in sweden the 13th of november and now canon says that it wont be here until the 15th of december.. So im thinking that maybe I could buy a NTCS version and just upgrade it to PAL as well...

Anybody that has any thoughts on that?

I read that it costs like 500$ to upgrade form ntsc to pal.

On a different note, today I spoke to canon europe and they have no freaking idea when the A1 will be available here. Initially they said it would be by the end of november. I was all psyched about. What a bucket of cold water :-(
 
Ive heard something about the 15th of december. We will be in Chile by then. The only way would be to buy a NTSC version and upgrade to PAL but I cant seem to find any dealer in Chile.

Our B-plan at the moment is to buy a Z1.. But its allot more expensive and seams to be a not as good camera as the a1.
 
I dont think the camera is here the a1. But you can get a XL1 or a Z1. In pal I think I know somebody who has a PD150 PAL. I'll search anyway the other choices. I have a HVX200 but NSTC.
