Would this be a wise decision? I just bought a Canon T2i with the 18-55mm lens & the 55-250mm lens. Arriving tomorrow will be the battery grip, another battery and another 16 GB card. I am thinking about selling my HVX200A with one 16 GB P2 card along with a bunch of batteries & everything that came with the camera when I bought it a year ago. I am thinking about selling it to maybe save money & buy more lenses, rigs, maybe another T2i... etc... Is this a wise decision or do you think I will regret it? The people I am close with have told me that the T2i looks better then my stock HVX200a. I feel like the T2i & DSLR is a better way in some cases to film because the quality is great. My father says to keep both, but I am coming to the conclusion I want to shoot DSLRs even though I would have a variety for the clients projects but I am following in love with my new Canon T2i & had my HVX200a for a year now. Any opinions are appreciated... Keep in mind I have found a place to rent the HVX200a, but feel like most of my clients have seen more DSLR footage then HVX footage, & to rent lenses and that nature can get more expensive when the DSLR lenses attach to the body of the actual camera. It just seems easier to go the DSLR route because I am not making movies, just music videos & covering parties & events. Thanks for your time to help me out.

Things keep changing. Buy lenses, great lenses that will go with you including:

MF Nikkors
Zuikos
Zeiss

So sell my HVX200a for some lenses? I feel like the lenses plus good lighting = great video. lol I just don't have that with the HVX. I want to make a decision fast before I loose more value on the HVX.

If you are making money with HVX200A than keep it. If not sell it. I shoot for clients with an EX3, 7D and 500D. The DSLRs are great but the dedicated video camera is still the A cam for now. I could do the same job with any of these cameras, but if your under pressure the DSLRs may slow things down on set.

What do you mean "A Cam" ? Also I am not really under pressure I would say since I am a solo company. I am focused on the look of the film. I know both cameras are great but I am finding that buying lenses for the T2i is much easier then spending another 4k on the hvx200a lens kit. esp. if I am struggling for money right now.

Sell that damn camera, Dslrs are the present and future. If you ever need a dedicated video camera you can always rent one. After using a DSLR I am in love and can never go back + the omage just looks better

Well, not necessarily. I left out a huge detail. I said these because they will follow you to... lets say the AF100 or the Red. Whatever the next paradigm shift is.

I'd keep it and save for glass. HVX's are soooo much faster, especially for run and gun. I have a t2i and run and gun is its true weakness.
