World Exclusive First HVX200 Footage..PART 2

That video had my brother and I laughing are asses off! To funny! It reminded us of a comedy video that we thought up but never shot called "drippage in the night"..

On the subject of the HVX200 etc.

Thanks for all the clips, there amazing. It takes a lot of bandwidth to offer this much. It was great to have met everyone at the show over the past two days and put faces to their names. The Panasonic booth had a lot of energy because the HVX200 is so ground breaking and people were eager to get a taste of it. I don't think we have even scratched the surface of what this camera will be capable of achieving..... The latitude in the desert scenes and the guy with the news paper were awesome considering their just WMV clips. The originals that played at the show were even more so... The material looked very very good. Eager to see more footage, that's for sure.

PS: Loved the Cheerleader footage. mmmmmmm...

Is there any chance there's going to be a part three of demo footage? I can't stop watching the stuff that's been released lol

Thanks, Jarred and Barry for all your hard work and dedication - as well as those who have stepped up to mirror files.

Just for grins I pulled them into AE, re-scaled and rendered for playback on my SD monitor. STILL pretty stinkin' impressive! Can't imagine what the native stuff looks like.

We will get it.. we are just smoking busy right now, so bear with us.

We would love to post the UCLA basketball stuff.. the Girls, the Action, the Slow mo was some of the best stuff we got... but obviously there are some rights issues with posting that stuff on the internet.

We will get you 3 way shoot out soon though, in fact we might forgo the whole article and just post the footage for you guys to judge yourselves.

Choreography....right. It was all gooood; gave me a :-) & <===8

Love Cheerleaders. Did anyone see " The History of Violence" Actress Maria Bello cheerleading in the bedroom scene. What a nice wife....... :-).....

PS: Anyone else here going to Birns & Sawyer's tomorrow ( Sat- dec 10 ) for the HVX200 demo their doing?

You're talkin about the choreography, right?

Just some Photoshop resizing. I meant I took a detail (the guitar) out of the picture, not that I would do some sophisticated analysis :)

yeah I thought everyone knew our soldier Mikko's links already, ive just been posting the new ones as the old ones go down.

Mikko is the only real constant we got :)

Thanks Jarred! (for both the comment and [Barry too] for the footage!) :)

A quick update on my server status:

At first I mirrored everything we had (both clips and the H264 grabs) on 2 servers to cope with the initial spike in bandwidth.
However as more material came out, I reached the storage limit on one server (school.n3.net/...). So I decided to do a re-shuffle. I put all the clips on one server (mikko.n3.net/...) and cleared out the other (full) one to use as a backup for my personal sites, should the downloads crash my main server.

How things stand now:
ALL materials published so far are still beeing hosted at http://mikko.n3.net/hvx200/
This includes:
*The 1080p WMVHD [desert] and 720p H264 [martial arts] clips.
*Full resolution .jpg and .tif framegrabs from the 1080p WMV file.
*The original (slightly problematic) 720p downconversion from 1080p H264 [bar] clip.
*WMVHD cross-conversions of both the 720p and 720_from1080p H264 clips.
*Screenshots of the 720p and 720p_from1080p H264 clips playing on my PC with QT 7.0.3

I have no idea how the server has held up these past few days, I'm afraid to call my ISP to ask about the bandwidth I've used

...in fact I have no idea how I've held up these past few days.. in the past 2 nights since the footage was relased at 10pm my time I have slept about 3 hours each, and it's allaready 3am on the 3rd night. Thank god tommorrow is saturday!:cheesy:

The server http://school.n3.net/hvx200/ is no longer hosting any files. This URL will just bump you over to mikko.n3.net where the files are hosted.

So I'm late to the party. I'm selling my HD100. This is the DREAM, folks. What we've been waiting for. The playing field has been LEVELED. Let's tear Hollywood up. Or, um, just make really good movies, then go to Hollywood and change the game, but be polite about things.

The HVX200 has 0wned me. Thanks for the goods Jarred and Barry.

I hadn't heard anything about it. Do you know if there will be any new footage or features not shown at the Expo? If so I would be very interested in going.

I would especially love to see a HVX done up with a mattebox w/ filters, follow focus, and perhaps a 35mm adapter. I know that everyone is interested in the 'raw' look now, but I am still curious.....

I wish having an HVX200 was all it took. The camera is only 1% of the equation.
What is needed is a coalition of independents that can band together to form a larger mass. Hollywood is so fragmented and run by business people that a poor indie filmaker has a snowballs chance in hell to make it. At least now the indie films may look better, the real art & talent of filmaking is telling a compelling story. The indie doc I would love to make would be about indie filmakers!

How funny, the guy in the sample wmv footage looks like an actor from Vegas we just shot pretty big commercial with..hehe..that would be funny if thats him.

WMV was choking on my G5..anyway you could post Q264 for us mac-dicapted.
