Just wondering what everyone would like to see new and or improved in CS4. Word on the street is adobe will be unveiling it at the end of the month.

My wishes:

Better color correction.
Improved Title editor.
LINUX SUPPORT? ( one can dream )

Fix all the bugs in the titler
ability to minimize it while it's rendering (used to be able to in cs2, no idea why they removed it in cs3)
better multi monitor support (it seems to not be able to remember which screen I had what panels on)

I don't have that problem. What graphics card do you have?

nvidia 8800gt

I have the main program on my right monitor, and the program monitor dragged to the left. however whenever I open premiere they both open on the left, and I have to drag the main program to the right monitor. Not a huge deal, but it gets annoying sometimes.

And for God's sake, please make a program that is free of the "Error Compiling Movie" issue!

I'm running into that problem right now and it's driving me nuts. CS2, CS3 both exhibits the same problem, at seemingly random intervals.

Just tried that; same thing happens for me.

Not sure why, though, you want to have the main window on the right-side monitor? You can take all the subwindows out and move them around as you please. Then, it should stay as you had it.

There are some major advantages to having main program in left monitor. They include the 'Tilde' Function which does not work in many Windows/Panes when positioned on the right monitor. I believe it is designed this way because many users do not have dual monitors.

(Sorry we are way off topic here)

Well my right monitor is my primary in windows, tilde still works and everything. My left monitor is somewhat calibrated so I prefer to have the program monitor on it.

I never worked with 2 monitors ,I think I might go blinder.
Bought a 22 inch monitor recently which just saved me some eyedoctor bills:)

I would like to see the same photoshop textengine that they introduced in AE6.5.
I believe this would fix the whole titler issue, that thing has been broke since day one .
The return of burn to dvd straight from the timeline. This help especially when your on a deadline .
Multicam edit never used it never will.
I would like, now what's that called again an "open timeline".Where you could just import any format and just start editing.I believe Avid has this feature.

Hey Huv Vu ,I never had "error compiling movies" issues without having space or memory issues.Especially if I've been editing 8 hours straight ,what I would do is just restart the pc after 3-4 hours.

I don't remember if Avid does but in my view that's the main reason to use Edius Broadcast . . . it doesn't care what you through at it.

Nope, that's not it. I'm not even editing, just rendering. My hard drive is brand new, nearly 120 GB available, fresh Windows and Premiere installation, 6 GB of RAM etc.. Spent all night yesterday trying to tackle the problem. It just appears and goes away, then appear again, but I couldn't render more than 2000 frames without it crashing on me. Very annoying.

Did you by any chance install a codec pack after you installed Premiere ?
I remember this being a problem for me a few years ago, but it caused the apps to crash or it gave the could not compile movie error.
