Wireless Camera Operation

A small remote control-like device that provides access to the settings on the Red cam to allow the operator to control a camera that is not accessible (on a crane, crash-cam, etc.).

This device would encompass the functionality of a wireless follow-focus controller as well as access to the cam's settings (with LCD for menu navigation and feedback). A variable speed zoom controller would also be onboard. The user would also be able to customize the order/grouping of the menu items from the default layout to provide them with faster access to the settings they need (and share these settings). Beyond that, users would also be able to setup customized macros to change a range of settings at once.

Using a wireless protocol such as Bluetooth (but not necessarily BT), a single remote could be setup to control multiple cameras (either simultaneously or individually by switching control from one cam to another). Multiple controllers can also be assigned to individual cameras or groups of cameras.
