Win XP OnLocation Quicktime files ported to Mac - stable?

I am currently recording to a Win XP laptop from my HVX using Adobe OnLoction (a.k.a. DV Rack). I record in Quicktime (.mov) format to an external NTFS eSata drive.

When I am ready to edit, I plug my NTFS drive into my MacPro (OS X 10.4.11) and am able to drag and drop my Windows-created QT clips directly onto my Mac Final Cut Pro timeline without any problem. They seem to play just fine.

However, I notice that when I open these same clips on the Mac in Quicktime (7.3.1) itself, the clips will freeze up if I attempt to pause/restart or scrub through the playback timeline. If I just let the click play, it plays to the end without incident. Quicktime itself seems to work just fine on all mac-based Quicktime files - I can pause/replay/scrub etc. It's only the QT clips that were created in OnLocation on my Windows machine that seem to be buggy, once I port them to my Mac. But again, they seem to work fine in FCP, just not in the stand-alone Quicktime player, which is bizarre.

Questions are:

(a) Is it normal, for the QT Windows clips to play erratically in the QT Mac player?

(b) Will I run into any problems in FCP due to the above described "bug"

(c) Should I install some kind of third-party patch to my OnLocation software in order for it to record "perfect" QT clips that play perfectly (in both the QT Player and FCP) once ported over to Mac?

Thanks!
