Wild guess: HVX250 coming out at NAB?

Interchangeable lenses on a CCD chip system instead of CMOS? That would be a buy for me.

Not trying to crap all over CMOS chips, I just like CCD's personally.
 
would sure seem to be an evolutionary step backward. but a step backward i could enjoy!

whered you hear about this? ive not heard anything about it before...
 
Maybe the title of the thread should be changed....I actually thought Hey....some ACTUAL news from NAB! Cool....oh... ....ok. I do like the idea of wondering out loud about what Panasonic might do with it's line up, since we haven't heard a single thing, other than the P2 recorder.
 
There is ZERO point in starting a thread concerning wild speculations about cameras no one has any reason to suspect might be coming.
 
I agree about a specific model coming at a specific event, which is why I think a better thread would be something along the lines of a question being posed like - "What would you like to see on the next HVX model?" That type of thread has always been fun, and has even lead to Panasonic listening in and taking notes.
 
I am not an expert on Panny's naming scheme, but I seriously doubt there'd be a new HVX model, do we think Panny wants to build and sell another Hybrid Tape/Mem Card camera?
I could speculate on a new HPX or HMC model.....?

We'll find out in a few weeks.

I agree... the HMC150 seems to be the one ready for the good old A designation. I think it's a safe bet the LCDs and VFs on any update will be improved. I guess it won't be too long now,but I do wonder if we'll get any glimpses before the actual event.
 
My friends, friends, girlfriends, buddy who she went to middle school with told me Panny was gonna release a DSLR with 7/8th inch RGB CCD that takes PL mount lenses and has a built in 8 inch monitor with on demand twitter uploads anywhere in the world.

Crossing my fingers, this is what I need to shoot my 6 hour epic about sea monkeys. Can start shooting till its release.

Guess my big movie idea isn't as unique and I thought...:embarasse

I agree, but in this case I did know and mums was the word until the actual release. I wish I could have been more straight forward.
