I have a azden wr-22 receiver with a stereo 1/8'' output....i bout a 1/8'' to 1/4'' adapter and then a 1/4'' to xlr adapter so i could plug it into the dvx100b xlr port.....when i turn everything on and set to line 1 i get nothing...the mic works but not getting through. Doesnt the set up seem like it should work?

nope, what you're probably dealing with is a polarity mismatch. i dont think its possible to adapt unbalanced audio to balanced audio in the way that you're attempting to, because through those adapters that you have there, the signal is going to the wrong place.

First, why so many adapters? There are 1/8">XLR adapters out there, readily available and easy to find. Remember that every adapter you add to the signal chain adds noise.

Second, have you tried setting your input to MIC instead of LINE? Your receiver most likely sends out a mic-level signal, which is way too weak for a line-level input to use.
