GH2 Why does Panasonic not move up to APS-C sensor for the GH3? Why Micro 4/3rds?

I believe the whole complaint here is the lack of lenses. It just takes time. Many lens manufacturers have joined the micro 4/3 standard. In time we will have many more offerings. APS-C has been around for a bit longer with a much greater following, along with full-frame and film (all sharing lens options).

Patience grasshopper....

With the recent release of some nice native M43 lenses - 12/2, 25/1.4, 45/1.8, etc... - the M43 lens lineup is just starting to fill out. Seems like a bad time for Panasonic to ditch M43 and switch to APS-C. We'd just have to wait another 4 years for them to release APS-C lenses that rival the current M43 lineup.

Makes no sense at all.

i don't see a lack of lenses AT ALL. If anything there's a plethora of lens choices.. more options for us than any other platform.. and YEP.. even the wide angles are coming around. I can't wait to get the SLR Magic lens... I also think that the Nokton .95 lens would give pretty much any other lens out there a run for it's money.... especially considering it's price. I too love the smaller size of the GH2.. the 5D seems like a tank when I use the darn thing... and I like the DOF more on the GH2... Not to mention it's nice to not have a camera overheat on ya and record for more than 12 minutes...

Give this system a few more years and Panasonic will have accomplished what took Canon years and years to do... Let's not forget that there was about 5 years between say the first digital rebel, which I owned, and the 5D.... So time has been good to us, and it's also nice to be on the underdog scene... who cares about what anyone else is doing if you are happy with what you are producing from your camera of choice... whatever it may be.

It's very easy to go insanely super wide on a gh2. Run, don't walk, to get the lumix 7-14. Seriously, you must try this lens.
Yuppers!!!

One thing about m4/3, all my old glass is sweetspotted. Maybe I'm imagining it but it just seems like all my old prime lenses are now better because I'm using the center of the glass.
