C200: Who uses the Canon CN-E18-80?

Nice coverage, it looks as if the lenses performed well.
The 18-80 in AF mode far exceeded my expectations covering that race. I started out with the thought that I would give the DPAF a try and then when it failed I'd switch to manual and get on with my day.
THings didn't quite work out that way. A few miles into the race once things settled a bit I was fishing for some close ups of riders faces , lots of moton in the frame with background whizzing by and the lens is holding focus even as the relationship between camera and cyclist-subject are constantly shifting as we navigate the roads, I realized that I could really trust the DPAF to do ts job. I was shocked and in a good way, as I was expecting just the opposite.

If you think about it, moving subjects with a moving BG is just about the most difficult test you could ever conceive to check the focusing ability of the camera and lens. Great to hear it did well.
