Who needs a 35mm with footage like this?!

Morox...very cool!...you should move this post over to the "not using 35mm adapter" thread so the others can discuss and show their footage too?..just a thought.

Your footage looks cool. I bet if you put an adapter with some decent glass on the end of your camera your footage would be unstoppable.

Your footage looks good, nice tonality to his hands, and I don't mind the slamming contrast.

The problem in depth. This frame is very flat and it is a combination of framing and lighting.

Create depth with shadows carefully placed in both the foreground and the background to create different planes in your image. This will make it pop off the screen more then anything else.

I've just started using lighting and all I have is a key light and a few soft boxes. For this shot, I did not use any of it. All I did was replace some bulbs in the fixtures and that was that. I am trying to use the "KISS" (Keep It Simple Stupid) method. Lot's of tweaking around and whatnot. It's pretty difficult to learn all aspects of filmmaking; very time consuming.

Thanks for the tips though.
