I agree, I will be watching EVERY film. I feel that if I'm involved in this thing, I'm going all out. I gots to see everything!

I'm watching all, I look forward to the comments anyone gives regarding The Treasonist as valid input to improve our product. I am glad that Adam will be the one commenting on entries from our perspective. He is further along in his skill sets than I am. So they would be more beneficial to everyone than if coming from me.

A few threads I'm sure will pop up giving general criticism/praise about the fest as a whole. I personally don't know enough to create a film not worthy of criticism.

...of course, we'd love to see you view and comment on all the films as this is how we all learn...but I totally understand & respect your choices. :beer:

I at least start to watch all of them. I didn't see R.P.D.M. til late in the last fest because it wasn't on the original zip file and I don't have internet at my house. I might have missed a few others, but that one was highly recommended, so I made an "internet trip" to download it 
I feel that the voting system is fair. Word of mouth gets movies seen on dvxuser. We were newcomers last time, had very few votes and then a few people watched when we whined about not getting views. Bam. People talked about it, people viewed it. Enough people vote on enough of the films that no absolutely horrible film will make the finals. And you're only hurting yourself if you give yourself a ten when you know your movie doesn't deserve it. If I finish last this time around I wouldn't blame the system. And if we finish first I won't either

Ok, ok when there is an extremely violent scene I will cuddle my rum and put my face in a cushion and when it has passed, Jason will say: ok Susanne you can continu to watch the film! :shocked:

well, I wont be able to vote, but as a actor in one of the films I'm more then a little curious to see what our work is up against. it looks like there are some fantastic films out there from what I've seen from some of the grabs, posters and production notes. (and on a more selfish note it tells me who I should start sending headshots and resumes too..hehehe)

I watched them all. There were a couple that I really didn't like, but all in all I think we had some good entries this time around. Now begins to slow task of rewatching them (and not just my favorites) and commenting on them. I must admit that i do give priority to people I've been talking to on the board and of course watched their films first (you guys know who you are), but a lot of that was that I expected a certain quality of work from them and knew they wouldn't disappoint, so it got the fest off to a great start for me. There's nothing like being excited to see the films and invite your friends over, cue upthe first one... and it's got issues, like serious issues. Sets the whole evening off to a bad start. So I watch the ones I know are gonna rock and work my way down the list . This time a few that I'd never even heard of popped out and made me go "wow", so it was like finding diamonds.. really GOOD diamonds.
It's in our best interests really to get on the boards as so many others have said and talk to the other filmmakers, find out what's going on and be a part of the community becasue in the end, they;re the ones who are watching. If you can entertain filmmakers, then you've at least got one hard job out of the way. Festivals whoudl be a ckaewalk after this.

Ive tried my best to watch all but I think Ive got about 10 more to go. I don't think I'll be able to comment on all of the threads, but the least I can do is view everyones efforts and rate them. There have been some films ive really enjoyed but just not managed to post up my thoughts yet.
Sometimes its easy to dismiss an entry after the first minute but I try to step back and think how much time and energy went into making it and stay the course.
Fortunately there hasnt been much of that for me so far, I think the standard has been very good.
