Should i get this tripod deal - Here with a quick release (lmk if theres a better deal for the same price)
or this fisheye - Here

so which one should i get first? I do alot of skating so im thinking about the fish eye but yet again i could use the tripod and dolly for some creative shots

either way im going to get both but one is gunna be a month or two behind the other

Thanks guys

A tripod is a huge need, more basic than any lens attachment. That said, and though there are some fans of the Davis & Sanford out there, get the best tripod and fluid head that you possibly can. The dolly is kinda neat, but a wheeled tripod dolly is not going to work so well out on a rough, concrete surface. To be effective, it really needs a smooth floor.

would you mind to lead me in a direction for a good tipod with a decent fluid head for around 130?

C2V is pretty well right about everything he says. This forum is lucky to have his wisdom.

I have that exact tripod and it has been FANTASTIC for the money. Probably the best for under $300.
Very sturdy legs. GOOD (not outstanding) fluid head - and yes there are much better heads out there, but for way more money.
The dolly rig is good if you are on something like a smooth indoor surface. Or if you are shooting a static set - like a TV studio or fixed stage it is great for simple easy repositioning.

For me that tripod has been a fantastic value. It's my 4th tripod and BY FAR the best yet.
Now I have a camera shop 3-blocks away that has the "Real Deal" good stuff tripods that people talk about here - but no way can I afford them with the fluid heads....no way.

Like C2V said - you will use the tripod CONSTANTLY but will only use a fisheye on occasion.

Cheers,

alright cool - now you can purchase a different head and replace it with your current one on your tripod correct?

No such beast. $200-ish is about where you need to start. The other thing I hear about those D&S fans is that, while they like the ProVista tipod, they will readily admit that these kits are not built to last over years of rigorous (ab)use.

Depends on the tripod. With a lot of the really cheap ones, no. With the D&S, most likely. It's a 75mm bowl, and I do believe it detaches from the legs.
