When Filming Skating

it wasn't the bro-cam that was the main problem...it just looked really weird, the same with the latest shook video...it was like they shot it with a really high shutter or there was something really funky with the scene settings on the HVX...i dont know, i might be the only one that thinks it looks odd, but the riding in that video is out of hand so that makes up for it

I thought they were going for that sharper gritty look. I liked it, but yea, bro cam just shows up and ruins some sick clips for me. Then again if I didn't care about quality camera work, I wouldn't notice for a second. I thought it was shot on a vx2000 and dvx.

possibly, but i thought 9 to 5 went all HVX...who knows, all i know is I want to see gary young pull that curved wall to curved wall clean lol

serioulsy, did you hear that he cracked his skull a while back and now he never rides without a helmet. I hope it doesn't have to go that far to make me wear mine.

Ya, he was doing a doublepeg to jumpover into a ditch and he didnt pull it clean the first time so he tried it again... and fractured his skull.

Its always the second attempt.

Helmet = Good
I never ride without one because you somehow always end up messing youself up on stupid ****, like looping out a manual.

ahahaha, seriously. Don't tell anyone, but I can't manuel. All of my attempts have scared me away from em. I stick to sad little double peg and feeble grinds, with some 180s up step ups and crap.

wow, pretty cool to see other BMXers here. You can talk to Ryan over on BmxPerception. Chill guy, I liked Left/Right

a lot of people cant manny, some days i can go forever other days just 10ft. I know people that cant, going backwards is way more fun though.

unfortunately i could not join that forum, as i currently do not own a camera...i am really trying to get one though! its hard to save stuff up right now, the freelance market is kinda slow.

will, i really can't manual either, so i feel your pain!

ahahahaha, yea I think I'm gonna learn 360backflips, those seem big right now. I give daniel dehrs a run for his money. jk

Do you really even need a fisheye with the dvx, it's lens is crazy wide as it is?

You DEFINITLY need a fisheye when filming skateboarding. If you want to film lines, or just a change of pace from longlense (handrails, stairs, etc) the fisheye is essential if you want to get the rider fully in the shot.

I personally think the 16x9 fisheye is an awesome option. It has no vig, so it looks alot more professional, while at the same time being reasonably wide. The DVX death is ridiculously wide, but is also rather ugly.
