GH3 When did you order your GH3?

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from Downtown Camera in Toronto - last 1 they had at the time. Received last week.
 
I find it shocking that so many of these smaller vendors have been regularly getting these GH3s in stock, yet neither Amazon nor B&H can provide any updates as to when they will receive inventory. I'm still holding an order from mid-December from Amazon...no word yet. I'm not in a rush, so I'll hold out a bit longer. But it sure is tempting to cancel...
 
heh, you are right. I didnt think about ebay, couse last time I've been there, prices were around $1500. And what is good in stores you have easier return policies. I had to return mine, after noticing black piece of dust. It was not removable.
 
I will keep my december 30 order open at amazon just in case if this will have some issues. After ordering my first one from midwest camera from columbus, i cancel my order at amazon which i placed in october. I had to return my gh3 to midwest and i had to place new one again. So i will keep it open for now, until i will be sure everything is fine with this one.
 
Today is the first time I've seen a bunch of them on ebay for RRP so my guess is they're starting to ship in volume. It looks like they're not shipping in Australia for another month.

There's been some QC issues with the LCD and EVF which could explain the delays, but Panasonic took forever to ship the GH2 too.
 
I pre-ordered mine from Adorama on January 1st. It shipped on 1/25 and arrived 2/1. Incidentally, I had asked B&H to notify me when they were in stock and they sent me an email notification on 1/24th. But I didn't see the email until 5 hours after they sent it and by the time I check their website the GH3 was already out of stock again. In any case, I'm excited to finally get my GH3 and I'm looking forward to shooting with it!
 
If you use B&H, just preorder it. I preordered a second camera on 1/25 and it will be at my house tomorrow. Not a long wait at all. And this way you don't have to worry about hunting around or calling nearly every day.
 
Adorama has them in stock as of an hour ago... I placed my order about 10 days ago and it shipped today!
