GH3 When did you order your GH3?

Awesome! Maybe mine will ship soon then! If yours ships first I'm calling them so let us know when you get a tracking number!
 
I cancelled my order from Amazon and ordered from Henry's in Canada since I seen this thread earlier today. I paid the extra shipping and possible extra credit card fee for making a purchase outside of my country. Regardless even if I paid $50 more it is still less than what I seen on Ebay and no company here in the US could assure me they would have the GH3 anytime soon.....

Here's hoping my camera ships tomorrow and I can be enjoying the GH3 by next week.......
 
I had a open pre-order with a dealer, but heard the supply was drying up extremely quick all over so I called National Camera Exchange yesterday and they had stock.

It shipped this morning.:cheesy:

I'm betting less customers. Back when the GH2 was announced I was here on this forum... loads of people had pre-ordered from Panasonic and other places, but I waited and checked here... In December of 2010 someone came here much like I did and said they just called Samys and they had some, within minutes of the posting I ordered mine and had it in December of 2010. That's why I pre-ordered from them this time. Because last time they had them when nobody else did.

I placed an order at samys today. We will see when i get it. I still keep amazon order open.
 
I believe Samy's is still the third largest camera retailer in the USA, behind Calumet (#1), & B&H (#2).

Samy's website does not always show an accurate reflection of inventory, so it's best to call them directly if something is listed as out-of-stock. There are also many items not listed at all on the website, but in their inventory. These issues are caused by being a vendor for Amazon.

Adorama is the flip side of the coin. Perhaps they've gotten better, but they're notorious for listing items as in stock when in fact they don't have them.

In the faith of full disclosure, Samy's is my primary dealer, but they've earned it.

Stoked..my Henry's order arrived today! Ordered on 4 Dec so that's 4 days from Toronto CA to Southern California. Good day indeed!
 
I got email from samys to verify my credit card info. I called them that this is my card and the lady said my item is going to be send by monday. She was from credit card department so i dont know if she knows something about inventory, but she said i should have it next week. We will see. I placed order yesterday.
 
I just received my camera today from Henry's and I must say it is AMAZING!. Beautiful camera, solid feel and much much better than the GH2. Also Iso is so clean and even when noise is present it looks like fine grain. Menu system is great, truly innovative. I also ordered it early this week and received it today. Man I can;t believe how much better it is than the GH2.

I don't care what anyone says, having a GH2 and GH3 right here with me and I can tell you it's totally a way better camera. I can actually grip it now, also the oled display is BEAUTIFUL. 1080p 60fps is amazing.... If you can't afford a GH3 the GH2 quality is still great, I'm just so much more impressed with the actual build of the camera and how solid it feels. Also I noticed more detail in the shadows, definitely has at least a stop more of dynamic range. One thing is for sure though the sensor on this camera is cleaner. 2 things I noticed immediately was cleaner iso and more detail in the shadows. I actually had the camera on 1600 iso before I noticed I was so high. On the GH2 and iso 800 you noticed it....

I am also selling my camera (GH2) on the market place, image quality is comparable but GH3 wins in dynamic range and cleaner iso.
 
I had an order with Adorama, canceled, ordered with National Camera on the evening of Dec. 3rd, received the camera yesterday... it's NICE:happy:!
